Ryan Williams, RHP/1B, Kenmore East HS, NY (2017)
Williams stands 6-foot-2 210-pounds with an athletic strong well put together frame. On the mound he has all the projection you could ask for in a pitcher. Young, great size, and signs of arm strength. His delivery is quiet and balanced, clean quick arm action to a high 3/4 slot. His fastball sat 81-82 mph with signs of more in the tank. He throws what appears to be a slider, gets around the ball a bit too much but with development could be a plus pitch. Fun player to watch grow and develop in the next couple years. Hitting/1B - At first base he stays behind the ball, stays athletic with a quick transfer to a 3/4 slot at 78 mph showing fast hand speed. At the pate he starts weight shifted back, and a high elbow. On the pitch he back loads, heel lift and short stride for timing, path is long, bat plane is uphill good extension through contact and a high finish. His exit velocity was 86 showing next level bat speed.

Anaylsis:
With great size and athleticism on the mound and at the corner, there is a ton to like about this young rising sophomore. Fastball already has some jump on it hitting the low 80's, signs of much more velocity to come. I can see why he's at 1B, great target size and still getting used to his 6-foot-2 frame, don't be surprised to see him make a move to 3B as he shows the arm strength and ability to handle the hot corner. At the plate I really like his hand strength, and power projection, really gets great extension out in front. We are very excited to follow his progress and development over the next few years. This is a 2017 graduate that will soon be on a lot of college's radar.
