Scouting Report on Bennett
Bennett stands 6-foot-0 180-pounds with a strong athletic build, and room to hold more. At the plate his setup is upright and relaxed. On the pitch he uses a back load, knee lift and stride before exploding his hands inside the ball. He shows next level hand and bat speed with an exit velocity at 91, his path to the ball is short and compact, bat plane is slightly inclined and he uses some extension through contact and a high finish. At 3B he fields the ball out in front, athletic, with smooth actions. His transfer and footwork are clean, arm action is a little long and front side needs to be stronger. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with above average arm strength at 84 mph. He also ran a 7.02 60 showing off his athleticism.

Analysis:
Bennett is a without a doubt a next level player. He led the way at our Upstate Underclass Games this past month in several different categories including Top Infield Velocity (84 mph), Top Exit Velocity (91 mph) and second at the 60-yard dash time (7.02). After watching Bennett’s performance at Horseheads HS I see him doing some serious damage this spring for the Auburn Maroons. Super high ceiling and athletic enough to continue getting better. Excited to watch his progression.
