Scouting Report on Derick
Philip Derick OF (Prattsburgh HS, NY 2015)
Derick stands 5-foot-10 155-pounds and slim. At the plate his approach is wide with his hands out in front of his head. He uses a back load and knee to knee lift before the swing. His swing path is on the incline with a one handed high finish. His exit velocity was 73 mph.

From the OF he fields the ball on his glove side and has uses a shuffle before the throw. He collapses a touch on his back side and opens hips up early. He throws from a high 3/4 slot with some carry at 78 mph. He ran a 7.06 60 yard dash.

Analysis:
Derick is a hard working, good baseball instinctive player. He moves well in the outfield and makes all the plays. His arm is close to being above average, he just needs more overall body strength. His bat needs more work and overall strength will assist him there as well. We hope to see him Sept. 21st.

Sept 21st, Unsigned Seniors Event would be perfect for Derick to show his skills off one last time before the winter months come calling.
