James O'Neill LHP (Christian Brothers Academy HS, 2015)
O'Neill stands 6-foot-3 200-pounds with a next level body. On the mound he throws from a mid 3/4 slot with a fastball with arm side run at 75 mph. He throws a 2/8 shape curveball at 63 with gradual break. Mechanically he opens up his glove side shoulder too soon to the 3B side, keeping that stronger towards home will help increase his velocity and downward plane action.

Analysis:
With ideal pitching size and throwing from the left side, O'Neill will get looks on that alone. His velocity needs attention, a serious throwing // arm strength // weight training program has got to be put in place now if playing at the next level is a goal. If he can come into spring 78-82 mph, and clean up his mechanics, there is no reason he can't help a program moving forward. This winter is crucial for him, we look forward to seeing him throw this spring.
