The 2014 Underclass Games was the largest showcase to date for PBR Ohio, with 205 participants and we would like to thank all the players, parents, and The Ohio State University for a great showcase.

Alex Powell, RHP, Minford, 2016

6-foot-2, 170 pound projectable frame. The long arm righty uses a ¼ turn in his lift to stay back and for deception. He pitches from a high ¾ slot with down angle plane and a tendency to throw across his body. His fastball sits 78-80 mph and throws a curveball at 63-64 mph with a 11-to-5 break and some depth. His change-up occasionally has a little cut to it at 68 mph. 

Alexander Kimes, LHP/1B, Aurora, 2016

6-foot, 170 pound projectable body. The long armed southpaw really stands tall on his lift in his delivery. He hides the ball well and finishes on line. The ball comes out easy from a ¾ slot that sits 78-81 mph. He really likes to use his curveball and has a pretty good feel of it. He throws it at 71-73 mph with a 2-to-8 break and tries to back foot it to right-handed hitters.  He throws a hard change-up with some sink at 72-74 mph. Really did a nice job pitching at the knees.

Andrew Wodzisz, RHP/1B, Mason, 2016

6-foot-4, 225 pound big body projectable frame. From first base he's a big target with soft hands that is good around the bag. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of 77 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall that starts open and uses a leg lift and toe tap to get squared. His swing his slightly uphill with power to pull side. He shows good bat speed with a top exit velocity of 93 mph and 5.3 home to first.

Ashton Salyers, INF/RHP, Pickerington Central, 2016

6-foot, 155 pound athletic frame. From the infield he projects more as a second baseman. He has soft hands and a clean exchange. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of 75 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to squared and puts himself in a good athletic position. His swing is slightly uphill with a top exit velocity of 75 mph and is 4.70 home to first. On the mound the righty has a simple delivery, that collapses on his back side with good direction. His fastball is from a high ¾ slot, sits 77-81 mph with down angle. His curveball shows some depth sitting 65-68 and shows some feel of a knuckle ball at 68 mph.

Austin Rawlins, 1B/3B, Bishop Hartley, 2016

6-foot-3, 218 pound projectable build. Projects more as a first baseman with soft hands and moves around the bag well. He throws from an easy ¾ slot with a top velocity of 76 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that shows power to pull side. He has a little leg kick to create his load and uses his lower half with a top exit velocity at 87 mph and is 4.69 home to first. 

Austin Swift, OF/LHP, Kalida, 2016

5-foot-10, 182 pound athletic frame. From the outfield he does a good job coming through the baseball. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of 82 mph. Left-handed hitter with good balance and a little load.  His swing path tends to go in and out of the zone with a top exit velocity of 76 mph and 4.61 home to first. On the mound his delivery is simple but hyper-extension arm swing in the back. His fastball from a high ¾ slot sits 78-81 mph. His curveball sits 66-67 mph with good depth and a 1-to-7 break. He slows his arm down on his change that sits 70-73 mph. 

Ben Bulchik, 3B/RHP, Lakewood, 2016

6-foot-3, 175 pound projectable frame. At third base he moves really well for his size and his hands and feet work well together. He tends to stay back on the ball and throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter stands tall with his front foot closed off. He has a short compact swing with a high finish and a top exit velocity of 75 mph and was 4.9 home to first.

Brady Goins, OF/INF, Elder, 2016

5-foot-10, 160 pound wiry frame. The infielder moves around well and has a good clean exchange. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of 75 mph across the diamond. From the outfield he does a great job getting to the baseball and uses a good crow hop to line his body up and use momentum on his throw. He throws from a high ¾ slot with top velocity of 74 mph. Right-handed hitter with a good athletic stance. He has a small load and the swing path is slightly uphill. His top exit velocity is 77 mph and is 4.84 home to first.   

Brady Rupp, OF/RHP, Wauseon, 2016

5-foot-10, 155 pound athletic body. From the outfield he takes good routes to the ball and is very aggressive on run through balls. He throws from a high ¾ slot with good arm speed and a top velocity of 82 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and stays open. He has a short compact swing and really gets the barrel to the inside pitch. His top exit velocity is 85 mph and 4.47 home to first. Right-handed pitcher that has a controlled lift that stands tall on his back side. He throws from a high ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 79-82 with some cut and down angle. His curveball he really tries to throw hard sits at 70-73 with good depth and a 11-to-5 late break.  He throws his changeup with good arm speed at 67-71 mph with fade.

Brian Schutter, SS/RHP, Centerville, 2016

6-foot, 160 pound athletic frame. From the infield he has soft hand and does a good job putting himself in good position to field the baseball out in front of him. He throws from a high ¾ slot with good arm action and a top velocity of 80 mph. In the outfield he’s very athletic, but needs to work on his footwork a bit on the run through ball. Has a top velocity from the outfield of 82 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with his front foot closed and then uses a good load. Shows good bat speed but tends to have his barrel in and out of the zone with a top exit velocity of 78 mph and 4.61 home to first. On the mound he does a good job staying over his back leg on his delivery and opens up at foot strike. He throws from over the top with a fastball sitting 80-81 mph with down angle. His curveball sits at 71-73 mph with a big break, but inconsistent at times. He also throws a late breaking slider at 76-77 and a hard changeup at 77 mph. 

Carl Turner, OF, Gahanna Lincoln, 2016

5-foot-8, 160 pound athletic body. In the outfield he is really aggressive coming to get the baseball and does a good job creating momentum on his throw. He opens up on his throw from a ¾ slot with very good arm speed and a top velocity 81 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and uses a high leg kick to get back to squared. His bat path is short and quick, but doesn’t finish his swing. His top exit velocity was 81 mph and was 4.33 from home to first.

Chris Shorter, OF/RHP, Walsh Jesuit, 2016

6-foot, 175 pound strong athletic body. From the outfield he projects as a corner guy. He takes too many steps on his crow hop which takes longer for him to throw the baseball. Throws from a high ¾ slot with good arm speed and a top velocity of 85 mph. Right-handed hitter that is spread out with good balance. Not much of a load but a real good bat path that stays in the zone. Shows real good bat speed with a top exit velocity of 86 mph and was 4.58 home to first.

Christian McFarland, INF/OF, Olentangy Lewis Center, 2016

5-foot-9, 160 pound athletic frame. In the infield his hands and feet work well. He does a good job at coming to get the baseball and squaring it up.  He has a loose arm from a ¾ slot and top velocity of  79 mph across the diamond. From the outfield he works through the baseball with an athletic crow hop and shows good velocity at 82 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and then uses a leg kick to get squared. He shows bat speed with a flat swing that stays in the zone. His top exit velocity was 81 mph and ran a 4.80 home to first.

Christian Specht, RHP, Jackson, 2016

6-foot-2, 150 pound lanky projectable build. On the mound the righty pitches from a short arm ¾ slot. His fastball has downhill plane that sits 79-81. His curveball has a big break sitting 67-68, with a slider at 73-74 mph. Christian also throws a hard change-up at 71-73 mph with good arm speed.  

Cody Boxrucker, C/OF, Hamilton Badin, 2016

5-foot-11, 195 pound athletic frame. Behind the dish he has a good clean exchange, but opens up on his throws a bit. He throws from a high ¾ slot with pop times between 2.05-2.13 and a velocity of 75 mph to second. Right-handed hitter that has good balance in his stance and a short flat swing that the barrel stays in the zone. His top exit velocity was 87 mph and was 4.3 home to first.

Cody Clark, Catcher, Bellbrook, 2016

6-foot, 200 pound stocky frame. From the crouch he has a good exchange that has a tendency to open up when throwing the ball to second. His pop times were anywhere from 2.09 to 2.29 with top velocity of 66 mph. The right-handed hitter starts open and gets back to square with a good load with his hands. He has a flat bat path and rotates on his back side. His top exit velocity was 85 and home to first was 4.83.

Collin Winters, SS/RHP, Medina, 2016  

6-foot-1, 170 pounds with an athletic frame. The athletic infielder shows good range with soft hands. He has good arm strength from a high 3/4 slot on throws across the infield, topping out at 86 mph. He is very athletic in the batter's box that starts open to close. He has good balance with a flat level swing and shows power to the pull side. On the mound his fastball gets on you in a hurry from a high 3/4 slot that sits 82-83 mph with an 11/5 breaking curveball at 69 mph and a slider at 73. His change has good arm speed that sits at 70. He really pounds the zone with his fastball and works quick. 

Collin Scott, 1B, Richmond Edison, 2016

6-foot-2, 240 pound big body frame. The first baseman does a good job fielding everything in the middle of his body. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top infield velocity of  65 mph. Left-handed hitter start open and gets back to square. He has a good load and keeps his weight back to help him produce power to his pull side. His bat path is flat and gets through the zone at a top exit velocity of 78 mph. He runs a home to first at 5.19.

Colton Lakes, C/3B, Loveland, 2016

6-foot-4, 195 pound, projectable frame. From the crouch he stands straight up on his exchange and throws from a high ¾ slot with pop times between 2.13-2.19 and a velocity of 72 mph to second. Right-handed hitter that starts way open to close. His swing path is uphill with a top exit velocity of 86 mph and was 4.69 home to first.

Connor Oates, 2B/SS/RHP, Westerville South, 2016

5-foot-11, 160 pound frame. From the infield he projects more as a second baseman. He has life in his body, moves around well. He does a good job fielding the ball in front of him and his hands work well. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 73 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter starts with his hands back and high. His first movement of his hands are down which slows his bat speed down. His top exit velocity is 83 mph and was 4.65 home to first. On the mound he uses a short compact delivery with good direction. He throws from a short arm high ¾ slot with some effort and his fastball sitting 76-77 mph. He slows his arm down on his curveball that sits at 65 mph with a 10-to-4 break. He shows really good arm action with his changeup at 71-72 mph.

Conor Crotty, RHP/SS, St. Francis DeSales, 2016

6-foot-1, 170-pound thin body frame with room to fill. Infielder, does a good job playing through the baseball for the most part, he uses a short ¾ arm slot on his throws with 82 mph arm strength. Offensively, he starts from a wider stance, using a fluid hands back to shoulder trigger, could use more lower half to help generate more power. He reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph and ran a 4.62 down the line to first-base. From the mound, he comes from a low ¾ arm slot using average armspeed. His fastball was mostly straight between 79-83 mph. His curveball showed slurvy gradual break at 67-68 mph. Also threw a straight changeup at 72-74 mph.

Corbin Edwards, OF, Paulding, 2016

5-foot-10, 156 pound athletic frame. He shows a lot of tools and athletic ability. From the outfield he fields the ball in front of him and if he learns how to run through it and use a crow hop his velocity from the outfield will increase. His top velocity from the outfield is 79 mph. Left-handed hitter that has an athletic closes stance. He steps open and has a flat swing and a top exit velocity of 84 mph. Edwards plus feature is his speed and with an impressive 3.85 home to first and a triple down the left field line he showcased that feature.

Deylen Miley, 2B/ RHP, Bryan, 2016

6-foot-2, 165 pound athletic frame. From the infield he moves well laterally and squares the ball up and fields it out in front with soft hands. He throws from a high ¾ slot with good arm speed and a top velocity of 84 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and stays open.  He has a small leg kick to load and keeps his weight back. He shows real bat speed with a top exit velocity of 92 mph and was 4.51 home to first. On the mound he stands tall his pivot, then collapse on his back side too much which causes him to pitch up hill at times. His fastball sits 80-83 with some late life. He really slows down on his curveball and throws it 64-66 mph with a 12-to-6 break. His changeup has really good arm speed at 71 mph with some fade. 

Dominic Canzone, RHP/1B, Walsh Jesuit, 2016

6-foot-1, 170 pounds with an athletic frame; possible two-way prospect. From the outfield he shows above average arm strength from a high ¾ slot with a velocity of 84mph. Left-handed hitter that shows good bat speed with a flat bat path that shows power to pull side. On the mound Dominic throws through a high 3/4 slot with his fastball sitting 84-87 topping out at 88 with good arm side run and some sink. He spins his curveball with 11-to-5 action at 67-69, his slider at 71 and a changeup at 66-67.

Frankie Hofmeyer, SS/3B, Elder, 2016

6-foot, 185 pound strong build. From the infield he projects more as a second baseman with soft hands and decent actions for a middle guy. He throws from a low ¾ slot with a loose arm and a top velocity of 72 mph.  Right-handed hitter that starts open and stays slightly open. He starts his hands high then drops his hands. His bat path is flat and with a stiff back side. Top exit velocity off the tee is 77 mph and is 4.93 home to first. 

Gregory Foster, SS/2B, Cincinnati Country Day, 2016

5-foot-10, 150 pound athletic frame. From the infield he projects more as a second baseman with soft hands and moves well laterally. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 63 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with an athletic stance. He stays balanced with his feet spread and does a good job with using his load. His top exit velocity is 73 and was 4.69 home to first.  

Harrison Gilmore, RHP/1B, Lancaster, 2016

6-foot-4, 215 pound tall projectable frame. The righty pitches from a high ¾ slot with long arms. He falls off and opens up his front side. His fastball sits 77-80 with some down angle. He throws his curveball at 65-68 mph with 11-to-5 break and some good depth and shape to it. He throw a hard changeup at 72-74 mph. If he can clean up his lower half his velocity and command will only get better.

Jackson Back, LHP/OF, Beavercreek, 2016

6-foot, 155 pound frame. The lefty with compact, repeatable delivery shows a loose arm from a ¾ slot. His fastball sit 79-82 with a little arm side run. His curveball sits at 66-69 mph with a good 1-to-7 break and able to throw it for a strike consistently. He throws a good changeup with good arm speed at 72-75 mph. Jackson is a three pitch lefty that really knows how to pitch. From the outfield, he really does a good job playing through the baseball. Left-handed hitter that starts open to close with high elbow and good load that shows a little power to his pull side. His top exit velocity was at 77 and home to first at 4.5.

Jacob Helterbrand, LHP, Hillsboro, 2016

5-foot-11, 175 pound build. The southpaw has a quick temp delivery that shows a long arm action that hyperextension in the back. His fastball from ¾ slot sits 79-81 with some life and sink. His curveball was inconsistent at 64-67 mph, but showed good depth if he was able to get on top of it. He would have a tendency to get underneath his changeup at 70-71 mph. 

Jake Barren, LHP, Hilliard Bradley, 2016

6-foot-1, 145 pound lanky frame. The southpaw uses a simple, clean delivery with a good finish. He throws from a ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 72-74 mph with some arm side run and a little sink. His curveball has a big break at 62-63 mph and will improve if he can get on top of it more consistently. He throws a hard changeup at 66 mph with good arm speed. 

Jake Calvin, OF/RHP, Westerville South, 2016

5-foot-11, 160 pound athletic frame. From the outfield he needs to do a better job taking routes to the ball and getting behind the baseball. He throws from a ¾ slot with good arm speed that opens up on his throw and a top velocity of 79 mph. Right-handed hitter with a good athletic stance that cast his hands out that shows some good bat speed. His top exit velocity is 82 mph and was 4.61 home to first. On the mound, the righty pitches from the stretch and uses a slide step with good direction. His fastball from a high ¾ slot 77-81 mph with good arm side run and some life. His curveball shows good shape and depth at 68-70 mph with a 11-to-5 break. He throws a hard changeup at 74 mph with some sink and good arm speed.

Jared Bair, LHP/1B, Troy, 2016

6-foot-2, 220 pound big body. The first baseman moves extremely well for his size and is good around the bag. The big target throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of  74 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to squared. He has a good load and a flat swing, but cuts off his finish. His top exit velocity was 78 mph and was 4.9 home to first. On the mound, the southpaw does a good job standing tall in his delivery which causes some down angle on him fastball. He has a little head whip at his finish. His fastball from a ¾ slot has a low elbow and sits between 76-78 mph. He really slows him arm down on his curveball that comes in at 65-67 mph with slow developing shape. He does show good arm speed on his changeup at 71-72 mph.

Jaret Gerber, SS/RHP, Thomas Worthington, 2016

5-foot-8, 150 pound build. From the infield he shows good range toughness. He fields the ball into his body and takes too many steps on his exchange. Throws from a high ¾ slot with top velocity of 75 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and stays slightly open. Uses a leg kick to load with a top exit velocity of 80 mph and 4.66 home to first. On the mound the righty has a simple compact delivery with good direction. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 77-80 mph. He has feel of a curveball at 69-70 mph with 11-to-5 break. Slows his arm down a bit on his changeup sitting 66-69 mph with fade. 

Jaret Peterson, 1B/LHP, Berea-Midpark, 2016

6-foot-4, 220 pound big projectable body. At first base he moves well for his size with soft hands. He throws from a loose high ¾ slot with a top velocity of  79 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter with a spread out stance and stays balanced. Dives in a bit, but has a good bat path that stays in the zone and a top exit velocity of 78 mph and 5.12 home to first. On the mound, the southpaw has a quick delivery, stiff lower ½ and lands on line.  He throws from a short ¾ arm slot with his fastball sitting 76-78 mph with some arm side run. His curveball sits 64-66 mph with a 1-to-7 break. His out pitch is his slider at 68-68 mph and likes to back foot it at times. His changeup was a little erratic at 69-72 mph. 

Jordan Wharton, SS, Copley, 2016

6-foot-1, 170 pound athletic frame.  From the infield he has quick feet and good actions with a good exchange. He has soft hands and throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 80 mph. Right-handed hitter starts open and gets to squared with a spread out stance. He dives in a bit with a good load, bat path, and bat speed. His top exit velocity is 82 mph and was 4.51 home to first. 

Justin Antoncic, SS/OF, St. Francis Desales, 2016

6-foot-1, 170 pound athletic frame. From the infield he really attacks the baseball and with a good exchange and soft hands. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of  77 mph across the diamond. From the outfield he is real aggressive coming through the baseball and does a good job using his crow hop creating momentum on his throw. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of  81 mph. Right-handed hitter with a good athletic stance. He has a small leg kick that he needs to get down sooner to be more on time. Shows good bat speed and a top exit velocity was 83 mph and 4.62 home to first. 

Justin Moyer, RHP/SS, Lakota West, 2016

6-foot-2, 175 pound athletic frame. From the infield he does a good job moving laterally and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 79 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter starts open then gets back to squared using a toe tap. He cast his hands back with a short quick swing having a top exit velocity of  83 mph. On the mound, he throws from a high ¾ slot which produce some down angle on his fastball and some arm side run. He has a slight pause in his delivery and lands slightly closed. He slows his arm down a bit on his curveball coming in at 67-70 mph. I believe his second best pitch is his changeup, which he throws with good arm speed and some sink at 70-71 mph. 

Justin Ward, RHP, Elder, 2016

6-foot, 185 pound projectable body. The righty has a compact delivery that hides the ball well. He lands slightly closed which cause himself to throw across his body. He throws from a ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 76-79 mph. He falls off a bit on his curveball sitting 65-67 mph with a 11-to-5 break.  His changeup is really effective at 70 mph with some sink and fade. 

Michael Green, OF, Tecumseh, 2016

5-foot-10, 175 pound build. From the outfield he fields the ball off his left foot and comes through the baseball. He throws from a high ¾ slot and opens up on his throw with a top velocity of 73 mph. Right-handed hitter stands tall on his stance. He dips his back shoulder with an uphill swing.  His top exit velocity was 71 mph and was 5.3 from home to first. 

Mitchel Stammen, RHP/2B, St. Henry, 2016

6-foot, 180 pound athletic build. From the infield he has soft hands and field the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 75 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a wide stance and a leg kick for his load. He shows good bat speed with an uphill swing and a top exit velocity of 79 mph and was 4.7 home to first. Mitchel projects more as a pitcher with a nice easy, compact delivery with good direction. He throws from a high ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 81-85 mph with some arm side run. His slow developing curveball was 63-67 mph with 11-to-5 break and good command of it. He slows down his arm on his change and holds on to it too long that sits at 71 mph. 

Nate Hiles, 1B, Waynesville, 2016

6-foot-1, 265 pound build. The first baseman really has soft hand and does a good job fielding the ball with his forehand and backhand. He is able to throw from different slots with a top velocity across the infield at 61 mph. Left-handed hitter starts open and gets to squared with a little load and a little uphill swing. Primarily a pull hitter that shows power to right field. Has a top exit velocity of 82 mph and home to first at 5.51.

Nate Liles, 3B/1B, Milford, 2016

6-foot-1, 190 pound athletic frame. From the infield he fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. He throws from a high ¾ slot with good arm speed for his age and a top velocity of 80 mph across the diamond. The left-handed hitter starts open to square, keeps his weight over his back leg with a small toe tap and an uphill swing with power to pull side. His top exit velocity was 79 mph and 5.0 home to first.  

Owen Carpenter, OF, Mount Vernon, 2016

5-foot-10, 178 pound athletic build. From the outfield he doesn’t come through the baseball to create momentum. He throws from a short arm ¾ slot with a top velocity of 78 mph. Right-handed hitter starts open to squared. He drops his hands and has a short swing that is a bit uphill with a high finish. His top exit velocity was 83 mph and home to first in 4.63.

Peyton Ley, 3B/OF, Granville, 2016

6-foot-2, 175 pound strong frame. The third baseman is very aggressive coming to get the baseball and bringing the ball into his body. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter is spread out and balanced with a little load and a small stride. He pulls off a bit with good bat speed and a top exit velocity of 88 and home to first was 4.77.

Matthew Wellbrock, C/1B, Elder, 2016

5-foot-11, 160 pound athletic frame. From first base he has soft hand and keeps the ball in front of his body. He moves well around the bag and throws across the diamond from a high ¾ slot at 76 mph. Behind the plate he has a good exchange and good footwork. He throws from a short, high ¾ slot with a pause before he throws. His pop times ranged from 2.19-2.24 and 75 mph to second base. Right-handed hitter that spreads out and has a simple approach. He keeps his hands back and has a flat swing that stays in the zone with a top exit velocity of 75 mph and is 4.90 home to first.

Nick DiGennaro, OF, Mason, 2016

5-foot-11, 155 pound projectable frame. From the outfield he need to be more aggressive coming to get the baseball and using a crow hop. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 69 mph. Right-handed hitter started open and gets to squared with a leg lift. He uses good rhythm in his hands to get them started and a flat bat path. His top exit velocity from a tee is 79 mph and was 4.58 home to first.

Robert Mealey, LHP/1B, Mentor, 2016

6-foot-5, 205 pound projectable body. From first base he is a big target with soft hands. He throws from a low ¾ slot with top velocity of 75 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter with an athletic stance. He is balanced with no lift on his load. He has little uphill swing with good bat speed and some power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 83 mph and was 4.64 home to first. On the mound the southpaw has a slow tempo delivery with a high lift and little head tilt. 6-foot-2, 160 pound projectable frame. From the infield he really moves well and has good actions and a clean exchange. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 77 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and has good balance. He doesn’t stride and does not use a load. His path is level through the zone with a top exit velocity of 80 mph and 4.5 home to first.

Ryan Probst, 3B/SS, Moeller, 2016

6-foot, 160 pound athletic frame. From third base he shows good range with soft hands and a clean exchange. He throws from a short arm ¾ slot with top velocity of 71 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts in a good athletic stance with his hands back. Has a good load and swings down on the baseball. Registered a top exit velocity of 79 mph and was 4.65 home to first. 

Samuel McClurg, C/OF, St. John’s Jesuit, 2016

6-foot-1, 180 pound athletic frame.  From behind the dish he has a good exchange with a short ¾ arm action with a top velocity of 76 mph to second base and pop times of 2.18-2.19. From the outfield he does a good job coming to get the baseball but doesn’t square up his shoulders on his throw which would help get more carry on his ball. His top velocity from the outfield was 78 mph. Right-handed hitter shows a good quiet athletic approach with good bat speed and a flat swing. His barrel stays through the zone and shows some power with a top exit velocity of 89 mph and 4.60 home to first. 

Seth Anderson, C/3B, North Ridgeville, 2016

5-foot-11, 165 pound frame. From a crouch he has good footwork and clean exchange. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a clean arm action.  Right-handed hitter that starts open and stays open. He has a good load and flat path with a low finish.

Spencer Aukerman, RHP, Medina, 2016

6-foot, 180 pound frame. The right hander has a simple delivery with a high ¾ slot. His lower half lands slightly closed at foot strike and falls off on his finish. His fastball will range from 75-77 mph and be consistently around the zone. He throws more of a slurve with 11-to-5 late break at 64 mph. He tends to slow his arm and whole body down on his changeup at 63 mph.

Talon Babcock, RHP/1B, Coshocton, 2016

Tall 6-foot-3, 170-pound thinner, athletic body frame. First baseman, can improve by playing through ground balls, has a tendency to stab at the baseball, reached a top velocity of 75 mph with his throws across the infield. Offensively, he starts from a balanced set up, uses a short stride, good balance throughout his swing, uses both fields well, contact type hitter. Reached a top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 5.1 down the line to first base. On the mound has good pitcher’s frame, repeatable delivery using a straight up and down leg lift, he uses a long arm action through a ¾ slot, has a tendency to fall off to first base side on his follow through, could get more directional to home plate on his delivery. Regular effort required. He threw his fastball at 79-82 mph. Curveball was thrown at 11/5 depth with gradual break at 69-71 mph. He threw his changeup using fastball armspeed at 74 mph.

Tanner Evans, RHP/3B, Edison, 2016

6-foot-2, 215 pound big body frame. At third base he shows soft hands and throws from a ¾ slot. His top velocity across the diamond was 76 mph.  Right-handed hitter starts open and gets to squared. He starts with his hands high then drops them to get the barrel through the zone with a high finish. His top exit velocity was 83 mph and was a 4.76 home to first. On the mound he pitches from a high ¾ slot and shows good direction in his delivery. His fastball sits at 75-76 mph with good down angle and throws a curveball with a big 11-to-5 break at 59-61 mph. He slows his arm down some on his changeup which sits 70-71. 

Tanner Killian, RHP/OF, Jonathan Alder, 2016

6-foot-2, 170 pound projectable frame. He pitches from a ¾ slot that is short in the back and his lower ½ is online at foot strike. His fastball sits 80-82 with some down angle. Tanner’s curveball is at 66-67 with a 11-to-5 break with depth. He throws his changeup with good arm speed at 72-74.

Tim Harmody, C/RHP, Solon, 2016

6-foot-2, 180 pound projectable frame. From the crouch he is a wide target with a quick, clean exchange. His throws from a high ¾ slot with a pop time of 2.18 and a top velocity of 70 mph. Right-handed hitter with wide stance and a little load. He stays balanced with a short compact swing and top exit velocity of 74 mph and 4.91 home to first. 

Trevor Hafner, SS/RHP, Perrysburg HS, 2016

6-0, 180 pounds with an athletic build and strong lower half. The athletic infielder really flashed the leather with his soft hands as he continuously fielded the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 82 mph across the diamond. Trevor is a right-handed hitter with a quiet set up and flat swing that produces power to all fields with a top exit velocity of 86 mph. He is a good runner for his age with a 4.25 time down to first in the game.

Trezden Johnson, OF, Pickerington North, 2016

6-foot, 185 pound athletic body frame. From the outfield he really comes through the baseball and uses an athletic crow hop. He throws from high ¾ slot and has good carry on his ball. Right-handed hitter starts open to close with a strong lower ½. Very athletic in the batter's box with little load and good bat speed that produced line drives and power. 

Tristan Faunce, RHP, Toledo Central Catholic, 2016
5-foot-11, 152 pound lanky body frame. The projectable righty pitches from a high ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 82-84. He closes himself off a bit on his lower half that causes some inconsistency pitching to glove side. He has good arm side run and a curveball at 69 mph with a 10-to-4 break. His changeup has good arm side run and sink at 76-77 mph.

Tyler Drabick, SS/RHP, North Canton Hoover HS, 2016

The 6-foot-3, 185 pound athlete was the standout at this event. From the infield he profiles more as a 3B showing soft hands with very good arm strength across the diamond at 87 mph. The right-handed hitter uses a slightly long stride, while showing good bat speed and power to the pull side. On the mound the righty was really good. His fastball comes out of a high 3/4 slot while sitting 86-88 mph topping out at 89 with a little arm side run. His slider was hard with good swing and miss potential at 75-78 mph topping out at 79. Tyler’s change up had really good arm speed with sink at 79-81. 

Tyler Jones, RHP/3B, Bellefontaine, 2016

6-foot-3, 170 pound projectable frame. The righty has a good simple delivery that creates momentum toward home plate. The quick arm right hander throws from a ¾ slot with sink and life on his fastball sitting 81-84 mph. His curveball has good shape sitting 67-70 mph with some depth. His changeup has good arm speed at 72 mph with some fade. His best years are yet to come.

Tyler Maylish, C/3B, Jefferson, 2016

5-foot-10, 160 pound athletic frame. Behind the plate he shows a good clean exchange and does a good job getting his feet lined up. He throws from a ¾ slot with pop times between  2.19-2.2 and a velocity of 70 mph. Right-handed hitter that stands straight up with a very little load. He has a slightly uphill swing with some bat speed and a top exit velocity of 84 mph.  He is a 4.76 home to first.

Tyler McPeek, C/RHP, Oak Hills. 2016

5-foot-10, 170 pound build. From the crouch he has a good exchange and does get in line for his throw down to second. He throws from a ¾ slot with pop time of 2.38 and top velocity of 61 mph to second. Right-handed hitter with a leg kick to for his load. He needs to get his foot down a lot earlier to be on time. He has a flat bat path with a level finish and top exit velocity of 68 mph and is 5.44 home to first. On the mound, he goes with a simple delivery and controlled lift with good direction. He throws from a ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 74-76 mph with some arm side run. His curveball is slow with a 10-to-4 break at 61-63 mph. His changeup is good at 65-67 mph with some fade.

Tyler Roushia, MIF/OF, Bryan, 2016

5-foot-8, 145 pound frame. The middle infielder does a really good job coming to get the baseball and fields the ball out in front of him. His arm from a ¾ slot plays better at 2B. Right-handed hitter is very athletic in the box and shows good bat speed. The bat path is flat and stays in the zone that produces line drive and sprays the baseball. 

Tylyn James, OF/LHP, William Henry Harrison, 2016

5-foot-9, 175 pound athletic body. From the outfield he does a good job working through the baseball. He opens up a bit on his crow hop and throws from a ¾ slot at 85 mph with good carry. Left-handed hitter that sets up in an athletic stance and a high elbow. He has a little leg kick to load and shows good bat speed with flat path and a top exit velocity of 83 mph and was 4.51 home to first.

Zach Mottice, 2B/OF, Jackson, 2016

5-foot-9, 155 pound athletic build. From the infield he projects more as a second baseman. He bounces around the field and covers a lot of ground. He has soft hands and field the ball into his body. He throws from a ¾ slot and a top velocity of 71 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that starts open then gets to squared. He uses a short compact swing and slaps the ball to all fields. He uses his speed to create offense. His top exit velocity is 76 mph and was 4.33 home to first. 

Zachary Doran, SS/2B, Oak Hills, 2016

5-foot-6, 135 pound build. He projects as a second baseman that does a good job staying down on the baseball. He needs to clean up his exchange and not take as many steps after he fields the ball. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of 81 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a spread stance for balance and good load with some rhythm in his swing. Has a flat path with a top exit velocity of 63 mph and 4.83 home to first.

Zachary McDougle, OF/2B, Gahanna Lincoln, 2016             

5-foot-7, 160 pound stocky frame. From the outfield he does a good job coming through the baseball. He throws from a ¾ slot and a top velocity of 76 mph. Right-handed hitter has a spread out stance with good balance. His lower half is stiff with a flat swing to a high finish with a top exit velocity speed of 71 mph and 4.56 home to first.
