Weaknesses of Team:

  • Middle of the order
  • Some of best players were hurt/ineligible in 2014. How will they respond/adjust?
  • Better consistency
  • Don’t know who best 9 guys are

Top Prospects in Class of 2015:

  • Ryan Hanna 2B/SS/OF - SR - 5'10" 180 B/L T/R Honorable Mention All-Ohio, 1st Team All-SWC (only non-senior), Could play college ball, probably in the OF/2B, 31 hits in 2014
  • Anthony Savarino SS/P/OF - SR - 6'2" 180 B/R T/R Best athlete on the team. Tall, fast, mid 80s as a pitcher, could be a very projectable player. .333 AVG, 5 2B's, 1.46 ERA in 24 innings, 3 saves, 22K's to 10BB's. 2nd team All-District. Could play college baseball at any level, in my opinion.
  • Nick Storc P/1B - SR B/R T/R - 6'3" 200 3-2 record, 6.56 ERA, 23 K's. Pitched a lot of big games in 2014. Needs to be more consistent. very projectable - tough kid - 1st Team ALL-OHIO DEFENSIVE END in football.
  • Tim May C - SR - 5'11" 190 - B/R T/R Missed most of 2014 with a torn ACL. Should be a mainstay in the middle of the order in 2015. Was one of the better defensive catchers in the SWC as a sophomore.
  • Ryan Strodtbeck P/1B B/R T/R - 6'2" 190 - 2-2 as a SP in 2014, 37.67 IP - WORKHORSE - 22 K's, 2.60 ERA - Could pitch at the small college level

Top Prospects in Class of 2016:

  • Aaron Zawadzki - IF/P - JR - 5'11 190 - Can definitely play in college - B/R T/R - .282 AVG - 3 2B's - 1 HR - in utility player duties - .375 AVG with RISP - Starting QB in football - great baseball mentality
  • Nathan Krogh - IF/P - JR - 6'2" 190 - .385 AVG - played in 15 games as sophomore - should be an everyday player in 2015-16 - Very projectable - big body - can play ALL 4 IF positions. Needs to become more consistent, both mentally and physically. Could be a D1 player.
  • Charlie Broski - P/IF - JR - 6'3" - 190 - Most projectable junior pitcher - throws well into the mid 80's, best natural movement I've seen come through. Late bloomer - never pitched until HS, gold be 6'4-6'5 by the time he's done growing, and could be upper 80's-90's by his senior year, if not before - 1-0 as a sophomore on varsity. Dominated JV and Summer Ball (16u Northern Ohio baseball club) I believe his overall record in 2014 between all levels was 14-1. I cannot WAIT to see how he progresses in 2015-16. Could be an absolute STEAL for a college.
  • Mike Sheneman, Aidan Kelley, Matt Archual - all juniors - should be our everyday OF starters in 2015. Time will tell. All are about 5'9 170lbs and FAST.

Top Prospects in Class of 2017:

  • Collin Romel - LHP/1B - Sophomore - 6'2" 215 - L/L - Most polished FROSH we've ever had. Could be a draft prospect as a senior. Has command over 4 pitches - low-mid 80s - could be touching 90 by the time he's a senior. Also plays a very good 1B and can hit a TON. Will be fun to watch!

Notable College/MLB Alumni:

  • Denton Sagerman - U. of Dayton - pitched in CWS as a freshman - medical redshirt in 2014 - not sure if he's returning or graduating early
