****Rankings are based on PBR Ohio's Final Team Power Rankings

COLUMBUS - The top-ranked Berlin Hiland Hawks used a 5-run 4th inning to pull away from No. 14 Waynedale for a 7-1 State Title victory.

Tyson Gingerich's bases-clearing triple in the 5-run 4th proved to be the biggest hit in the game. Gingerich roped a bases-clearing triple to right center, which scored Chris Kline, Andy Miller and Kobe Miller.

Mitch Massaro picked up the win on the mound, going 5.1 innings, allowing just four hits and one run while striking out two. Eric Mullet extended his OHSAA-record scoreless streak on the mound to 118 innings, as he went 1.2 innings and striking out one.

Gingerich went 2-4 with a run scored and three RBIs. Kline and Bryan Yoder each finished with two hits.

Waynedale's Nick Strausbaugh had two hits for the Golden Bears.

With the win, the Hawks won its first State Title in school history.
