2016 Spring Team Preview: Buckeye Bucks

Team Name: Buckeye Bucks
Head Coach: Steve Wright
Division: II
2015 Record: 12-16
Conference Record: Patriot Athletic Conference, 9-7
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/5

2016 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching depth
  • Speed

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Bottom half of the lineup is all new

Coach Outlook: Returning only three position players who were three of the top four hitters from the 2015 team. Returning the top six pitchers from the 2015 staff, five of which are now seniors. If we can find younger players to fill in the open positions to compliment the three returning players and also get quality pitching from the six pitchers we could contend for the conference title and make a run in the tournament.
