2016 Spring Team Preview: Fort Recovery Indians

Team Name: Fort Recovery Indians
Head Coach: Jerry Kaup
Division: IV
2015 Record: 25-6
Conference Record: Midwest Athletic Conference, 7-2
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2016 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching
  • Defense

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • We have talented young players who must perform at the varsity level
  • We also lost five starting seniors and our team leaders

Coach Outlook: "We are coming off a strong 2015 campaign that culminated in a State Final Four appearance. We return a strong nucleus of players."

PBR Outlook: When thinking back at 2015 at the teams in Division IV that could be a contender in 2016, the Indians of Fort Recovery were one of the teams I thought about. That was before the arrival of Nick Thwaits. Adding an arm like that along with All-State performer Jackson Hobbs, has the Indians as one of the top teams in Division IV.
