With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Granville Blue Aces

Team Name: Granville Blue Aces
Head Coach: Vince Ghiloni
Division: II
2015 Record: 16-10
Conference Record: Licking County League, 2nd Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/5

2016 Team Strengths:

• Starting pitching
• Defense
• Hit for average

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Speed on bases

Coach Outlook: "We have 12 lettermen returning. Our key positions to fill are 1B and catcher. The entire starting outfield is back. A sophomore pitcher who was 4-0 last year returns with two very good additional pitchers. Our middle infield turned 22 double plays last year and they will return. Also, we expect to contend for the league title and with a little luck and we stay healthy we could be looking at Huntington Park."

PBR Outlook: The Blue Aces on paper have what it takes to have a successful 2016 season and make a long run come tournament time. With 12 lettermen returning, including some young talented arms, coach Vince Ghiloni has a promising team in 2016.
