With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains

Team Name: Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains
Head Coach: Justin Gunka
Division: IV
2015 Record: 14-13
Conference Record: Blanchard Valley Conference, N/A
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2016 Team Strengths:

• We will have great leadership from our senior class this year. Kyle Reinbolt returns as our ace pitcher; we feel we have a chance to beat anyone with him on the mound. We will have average speed this year. Jackson Sebetto had 30 stolen bases last year. Defensively we have some nice pieces (Jackson Sebetto SS/C, Logan Tyree 3B, and Alex Brock CF), and some young talent that needs to step up and fill out the lineup. 

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• We need some young guys to step up this year and contribute.

Coach Outlook: We have four starters returning: Junior Kyle Reinbolt C/P, Senior Logan Tyree 3B/P, Senior Jackson Sebetto SS/C, and Senior Alex Brock CF/P. We have some experience this year, but will need some young players to step up to make a nice run in the league and tournament.
