2016 Spring Team Preview: Miller City Wildcats

With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Miller City Wildcats

Team Name: Miller City Wildcats
Head Coach: Dusty Pester
Division: IV
2015 Record: 25-3
Conference Record: PCL
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2

2016 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Offensive consistency

Coach Outlook: "After losing 5 seniors with a combined 17 varsity baseball letters, we will need to fill some holes quickly. We have a good nucleus returning including two arms in Jackson Lammers and Jacob Kuhlman."

PBR Outlook: The Wildcats look to reload after an outstanding 25-3 campaign in 2015. With Jackson Lammers on the hill Miller City will have a chance to win any game and with Kuhlman backing him up on the hill look out for the Wildcats come tournament time in D-IV.

  • Jacob Schimmoeller, 3B/OF, 2017, 6'2", R/R, 3-Year Starter, (.391 BA, 5 2B, 1 3B, 16 RBI, 20 Runs)
  • Corbin Niese, OF/1B, 2017, 6'1", R/L, 3-Year Starter, (.333 BA, 7 2B, 2HR, 28 RBI, 28 Runs)
  • Jacob Kuhlman, P/INF, 2017, 6'3", R/R, 2-Year Starter, (7-0, 1.97 ERA, 33 K, 15 BB)
