Coach Outlook: “With most of our starting lineup returning, we are looking to build off of a very successful 2016 season. Corey Bogan a 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Area award winner will be entering his senior year as a 4-year varsity starter; he has been our ace of the pitching staff for the past two seasons, going 6-2 with a 2.12 ERA on the mound last season. At the plate he hit .455 with 33 RBI’s. Caleb Newsome (Miami of Ohio “Hamilton” Commit) was also a 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Area award winner, and is coming into his senior season looking to grow as a pitcher and continue his success at the plate batting .465 with 32 RBIs and 3 HR’s. Keane Dunn is also entering his senior year as a 3-year starter in the middle of our infield and junior Abrahm Shelton is entering his second year of varsity play; both will be a big part of our success this year at the plate and on the mound. The 2017 schedule will be a great test for us especially inside a well-rounded Ohio Heritage Conference that will be as competitive as it has been in years.”
