Cangelosi High School Fall League Recap - Week 2

Varsity: BLUE vs. SILVER

Game 1:

BLUE – 19
SILVER – 4

In a very one-sided game, Camron Hubble (Westerville Central) led the offense for the BLUE team with two hits, two RBIs and three stolen bases. Grant Ghiloni (Granville) also had a big game at the plate, tallying three hits, including a triple.

Game 2:

SILVER – 0
BLUE – 10

The BLUE team’s Andrew Zucker (St. Francis DeSales) had a big game both at the plate and on the mound in game two. Zucker had 2two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Zucker also pitched five scoreless innings, striking out seven.

Varsity: RED vs. SILVER

Game 1:

BLACK – 3
RED – 3

Eero Perkola (Dakota), Gavin Wolf (Grove City), and Brendan Hertel (DeLaSalle) each had a hit and RBI for the RED team. The BLACK team’s Patrick Burke (Hilliard Darby) had a 2-RBI single in the 6th inning to tie the game at 3, while Jacob Conrad (Amelia) pitched scoreless 6th and 7th innings to hold the tie.

Game 2:

RED – 2
BLACK – 6

Game 2 was dominated by the BLACK team, as Nathan Brooks (Avon) had 2 hits, including a double and 2 RBIs. Brooks also pitched 4 scoreless innings, striking out three RED hitters. Dakota DeStefano (Upper Arlington) also had a pair of hits for the BLACK team, including an RBI-double in the 2nd inning and a triple in the 4th inning. For the RED team, Matthew Fullen (Pickerington Central) finished the day with two hits.
