Inside the Recruitment '15 C Jordan Burn commits to Lake Erie

PBR: Why did you choose Lake Erie?

Burns: I was invited to Junior Day last fall. I felt comfortable with the coaches and from there that is where our relationship started. I think Coach McGee and staff have a lot to offer.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Burns: Tri C, Heidelberg, Washington and Jefferson and Marietta.

PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?

Burns: Coach McGee first saw me at a PBR event in Brunswick last February. Coach McGee, Coach Warning, and Coach Basile came throughout the summer to see me play. We kept in touch from there.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Burns: The expect me to work my way into the batting order and compete for a position on the field.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Storm baseball?

Burns: I feel my biggest strengths are leadership skills and work ethic. I am a team player on and off the field.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Burns:  I have played for my dad since I started playing baseball. Last year I played for the Boys of Summer 18U. My most memorable experience is the friendships I have made in the past years with my teammates.

PBR: What were your stats for last spring season?

Burns: BA .424 Slug .541

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Burns: Ziegler from Defiance in the 2012 State Final Four.
