Inside the Recruitment: '15 INF Kyle Pennington commits to Baldwin Wallace

PBR: Why did you choose Baldwin Wallace?

Pennington: I liked the school and I liked Coach Harrison and all the other coaches when we met.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Pennington: Heidelberg and Ohio Wesleyan

PBR: What was the relationship you had with the Coach Harrison and the rest of the coaching staff in the recruitment process?

Pennington: I liked how he brings high energy all the time and his passion for the game

PBR:  Where did Baldwin Wallace first see you compete?

Pennington: The unsigned senior games

PBR: Coach Harrison has been able to turnaround every program that he has coached and just recently lead BW to the Division III College World Series.  How does it feel to be part of such a program on the rise?

Pennington: It's a real honor to play for someone like Coach Harrison. He really knows his stuff about baseball. I hope I can contribute to the program’s success in the next four years.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help as a Yellow Jacket?

Pennington: My biggest strength is the hard work mentality I bring everyday always wanting to get better.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Pennington: Ohio JAXX, most memorable time from the summer was playing at the Moeller baseball complex in Cincinnati.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Pennington: My family has been the biggest influence on my baseball career

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Pennington: Wadsworth teammate Nick Bebout
