Prep Baseball Report

Inside the Recruitment: '15 RHP Anthony Krokos commits to Walsh

PBR: Why did you choose Walsh?

Krokos: I chose Walsh for several reasons: an excellent education, a beautiful campus, and the opportunity to play for Coach Mead.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Krokos: Mount Aloysius College, Notre Dame College, and Muskingum.

PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Krokos: I'm not exactly sure where the first time they saw me was, but I do know they got in contact further with me through my high school head coach John Mutch.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team for the rest of your senior season?

Krokos: My individual goals are to get in the best baseball shape possible and do anything to help our team succeed in the season.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable experience?

Krokos: I play for Andy's 9ers in the summer, and my most memorable experience was playing in the Beast of the East and pitching a complete game shutout, followed by a second game which I caught a complete game for another victory.

PBR: What were your stats for last spring?

Krokos: Last spring I was held back with an injury, but I had one appearance with a 0.00 ERA. But I had a really good summer when most college coaches had seen me.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Krokos: I would have to say Perry Dellavalle, he now pitches at Seton Hill University. Playing with and against him I realized he is the most complete pitcher I have ever seen.
