Kevin Brzuziewski, RHP, Revere HS, Class of 2015

PBR: Why did you choose Hiram?

Brzuziewski: Hiram was the best fit for me based on academics (great business program), athletics (love the coaches and facilities), and location (far enough away to live on campus, close enough for my family to attend games).

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Brzuziewski: Mount Union, Tiffin, John Carroll

PBR:  Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?

Brzuziewski: An assistant coach, Coach Douglass, saw me pitch at a showcase my sophomore year. We got in touch about six months ago and have been in contact ever since. I visited Hiram three times and knew I would love the coaching staff right when I met them.

PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus?

Brzuziewski: I will be competing for a spot in the starting pitching rotation freshman year, as well as competing for some infield time.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Brzuziewski: My parents

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?

Brzuziewski: I play for the Premier A's. My most exciting experience of summer ball has to be last summer in the Cincy Flames tournament. We were playing the #1 seed Cincy Flames and I pitched a complete game, 2-hit shutout to advance our team to the next round.

PBR: What were your stats last season?

Brzuziewski: 8-3 with a 2.1 ERA

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter you have faced?

Brzuziewski: D.J. Wilson
