We would like to thank all who participated in PBR's Preseason Underclass North Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2016, '17, and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Aden Stern, 1B/RHP, Beachwood, 2017
Scouting Report: Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 165-pound thin projectable body frame with room to fill out. From first base, he shows good footwork around the bag and moved well laterally off the base. He throws from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 73 mph. On the mound his delivery requires some effort while using a little bit of a shoulder tilt for added torque. He worked exclusively from the stretch using average arm speed coming through a low-¾ arm slot. His fastball ranged between 72-75 mph. His curveball showed gradual, sweeping action thrown at 11/5 tilt. He threw his changeup using fastball arm speed at 69 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Gets a good load then jumps at the baseball. Flat swing with occasional power and 71 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.27-60.

Alex Gray, RHP/OF, Strongsville, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 150-pound average frame. On the mound his delivery requires some effort while using a straight up and down leg lift making his delivery simple and repeatable. He uses quick arm speed through a ¾ arm slot. His fastball ranged between 79-82 mph. His curveball showed sweeping, gradual break at 68-69 mph. He threw a hard changeup using fastball arm speed at 76 mph. In the outfield, he displays good athletic foot work approaching ground balls and throws using a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 83 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Hands away from his body with a short, compact swing. Barrel stays in the zone with 79 mph exit velocity and ran 7.14-60.

Alexander Robinson, LHP/OF, Lutheran West, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 165-pound average body frame. From the mound his delivery requires regular effort while tilting his front shoulder up and his back shoulder down for leverage. He uses average arm speed throwing through an upper ¾ slot. His fastball shows natural tailing action at times between 73-76 mph. His curveball a gradual downward break at 66-67 mph. He throws his changeup using fastball arm speed showing similar movement to his fastball at 70 mph. In the outfield, he shows pretty good footwork approaching ground balls with good crow hop mechanics. He throws using a shorter arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 69 mph.

Andrai Wright, 1B/RHP, Clearview, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 250-pound big body frame. From the first-base position he does a good job of keeping his hands out front to field the baseball. Could improve footwork by increasing his foot speed. He throws using a clean arm action coming through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 63 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter with no load. Does a good job keeping his hands inside the base and shows some power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 86 mph and ran 8.36-60.

Andrew Mayor, 2B/RHP, University School, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 155-pound body frame. In the infield he has a tendency to stop his feet when ground balls are hit at him, he can improve his footwork by consistently being aggressive playing through the baseball. He throws using a clean arm action coming through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 74 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that has tendency to cast his hands and a flat path that produced line drives during batting practice. Good rotation on his lower ½ with 80 mph exit velocity off a tee and ran 7.55-60. On the mound shows a high leg kick in his delivery with decent direction. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 70-72 mph topping out at 76 mph. Shows a slider near fastball speed at 67-69 mph and a good changeup with good arm speed at 67-69 mph.

Ben Schroth, 1B/LHP, Highland, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 162-pound thin body frame with room left to fill out. While listed primarily as a first-baseman his services may be more needed as pitcher being left-handed. From first base he has good hands doing a good job picking the baseball on short hops. He uses good athletic footwork around the bag, his arm works well from the position throwing from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 78 mph throwing across the field. On the mound his delivery requires regular effort while bringing his leg back for leverage during his leg lift. He throws using a shorter arm action with average arm speed coming through a ¾ arm slot. His fastball showed natural tail at times ranging from 77-80 mph. His curveball has a sharp breaking action showing signs of late bite on the pitch thrown at 1/7 tilt from 66-68 mph, the pitch tends to have sharper break when he throws it with more velocity. His slider shows cutting movement across the plate at 74 mph. He threw his changeup using fastball arm speed showing some sink at 70-71 mph. Left-handed hitter that starts even and steps closed. Short compact swing and produced line drives during batting practice. Registered top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran 7.90-60.

Brendan Regan, SS/2B, Walsh Jesuit, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 158-pound athletic frame. It looks as though he has the ability to play both spots in the middle infield at this point. Moves well laterally showing good footwork while playing through the baseball most of the time. Uses a clean arm action from a low-¾ slot showing some arm strength while reaching a top velocity of 82 mph on his throws. At the plate he has showed a lot of strides since last summer. From the right side he uses a leg kick to load. Short, compact swing with quick hands and top exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 7.18-60.

Bryce Fisher, C/3B, Vermilion, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 185-pound solid build. From behind the plate he shows adequate footwork with a long exchange and needs to sharpen up his receiving skills. From a short slot he showed 66 mph velocity to second base with pop times of 2.37-2.51. Right-handed hitter with strength in his swing. Starts open and tends to get a little on on his swing. Short stride and stays balanced with occasional power. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran 8.36-60.

Cade Pipoly, MIF/OF, Walsh Jesuit, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 172-pound athletic frame. From the infield, he displays athletic foot work but had a tendency to stop his feet on ground balls hit at him and can improve by playing through the baseball as he does when ground balls are hit to his glove side. He uses a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot and reached a top velocity of 81 mph on his throws. Shows advanced skills at the plate. The right-handed hitter starts open and gets to even. Hands really work with a short, compact swing. Flat path with power to the pull side and 83 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.01-60.

Cael Baker, C/1B, Gahanna Lincoln, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 245-pound thick, strong build. From a crouch he has a wide frame. Stands straight up on is exchange. From a short, high-¾ slot he showed 80 mph arm strength to second with pop times of 2.09-2.21. Right-handed hitter that start open and gets to even. Little stride with short compact swing and likes to pull the baseball and shows occasional power. Registered top exit velocity of 91 and ran a 7.5-60.

Carson Davis, RHP/1B, Louisville, 2017
Scouting Report: Taller 6-foot-3, 190-pound average frame. On the mound his delivery requires regular effort while throwing slightly across his body. He has average arm speed coming from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball ranged between 74-79 mph. His curveball had gradual break with depth at an 11/5 angle between 64-68 mph.

Chad Szydlowski, C/RHP, Twinsburg, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 178-pound athletic build. Behind the plate he has a wide frame. Gets long on his transfer from glove to hand. Throws from a ¾ slot with pop times of 2.13-2.33 and 73 mph arm strength to second base. Right-handed hitter with a strong lower-½.  Doesn’t use a stride and shows quick hands with some line drive to power production during batting practice. Registered top exit velocity off a tee at 84 mph and ran 7.64-60. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that is online at foot strike. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 76-80 mph with a lot of arm-side run and life to it. Has late break on his curveball at 66-69 mph.

Christopher Meszaros, OF/2B, Lancaster, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame. From the outfield he displayed good footwork approaching ground balls but could improve crow hop mechanics that will also lead to increased velocity on his throws. He throws using a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 73 mph. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and stays balanced. Swing gets in and out of the hitting zone with occasional power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 79 mph off a tee and ran 7.18-60.

Clayton Cooper, LHP/OF, Edison, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 205-pound body frame. In the outfield he uses good, athletic foot work during his approach to ground balls transitioning into a good crow hop. He uses a clean arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 81 mph on his throws. Left-handed hitter with a spread out stance and balanced. Short, compact swing with 84 mph exit velocity and ran 7.38-60. On the mound the southpaw really projects. Shows some deception with a repeatable delivery. From an easy, high-¾ slot his fastball sits 79-82 mph with some down angle and sink. Slows down on his breaking ball at 61-64 mph with 1/7 tilt. Showed good arm speed on his changeup at 70-72 mph.

Cody Best, OF/3B, Perkins, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic build. In the outfield he uses good footwork approaching ground balls transitioning into a crow hop. He throws using a clean arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 75 mph. From the infield he has a tendency to stop his feet during ground balls hit at him and can benefit from being more aggressive playing through the baseball. He as a clean arm action through a ¾ slot throwing it at 72 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Stays back well and has tendency to cast his hands which makes his swing a little long. Registered top exit velocity off a tee at 78 mph and ran 7.25-60.

Dawson Nason, SS/2B, Perkins, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 180-pound solid frame. Defensively, in the infield He has a tendency to stop his feet when ground balls are hit at him, can improve by being more aggressive playing through the baseball. He uses a clean, short arm action coming through a low-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 75 mph on his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter with quick hands and some strength in his swing. Barrel needs to stay in the zone long and showed occasional power. Registered top exit velocity of 86 mph off a tee and ran 7.07-60.

Dean Gray, LHP/1B, Theodore Roosevelt, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 195-pound athletic body frame. From the mound his delivery requires regular effort. He has a short arm action using average arm speed coming from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball showed natural tailing movement at times ranging between 72-74 mph. His curveball has a tight downward breaking action thrown between 60-62 mph. His third pitch is a knuckleball that showed good tumbling action at times between 60-62 mph.

Dylan Appolloni, RHP/OF, Bishop Watterson, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 155-pound body frame. From the outfield, he uses good athletic foot work to approach ground balls with solid crow hop mechanics. He throws using a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot showing good arm strength reaching a top velocity of 88 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Keeps his hands back and shows a short, compact swing with 81 mph exit velocity and ran 7.51-60. Really shined on the mound from a projectable frame. Showed a live, loose arm from a high-¾ slot and his fastball sitting 80-83 mph with sink. Has an advanced breaking ball at 69-71 mph with good late 11/5 break. Very good pitch for him. Also, showcased a solid changeup at 74-76 mph with good arm speed.

Dylan Carpenter, C/OF, Little Miami, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 162-pound strong, athletic build. Earned his Top Prospect Games invite after his performance. From behind the plate he shows good footwork and gets his feet in line. Clean exchange with pop times of 2.06-2.15 and 76 mph velocity to second. Right-handed hitter with an open stance. Shows good bat speed, but at times very mechanical. Able to use the whole field during batting practice with 81 mph exit velocity and ran 7.16-60.

Erik Demchuk, 3B, St. Ignatius, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 160-pound body frame. From the infield he has good footwork playing through the baseball, moves well laterally away from the bag. He has a good enough arm to play third base using a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 79 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter with good rhythm and little leg kick to load. Shows good rotation on his lower-½ and a flat path. Registered top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 7.83-60.

Garrett Caudill, 2B/RHP, Shelby, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 150-pound projectable frame. From the infield he shows pretty good footwork playing through the baseball most of the time. Throws using a clean, short arm action coming through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 74 mph on his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter that starts his hands away from his body. Bat path gets in and out of the zone with good lower-½ rotation. Registered top exit velocity of 79 mph off a tee and ran 7.02-60. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery that hops at balance point and slightly opens up at foot strike. From a short, high-¾ slot his fastball sits 76-78 mph. Breaking ball has good depth at 65-67 mph and showcased a solid changeup at 67-71 mph with good arm speed.

Griffin Hunt, RHP/OF, St. Ignatius, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 185-pound body frame. In the outfield he takes good strides to the baseball but could improve his footwork by breaking down his strides a little bit more just before he approaches the ball. Shows good crow hop mechanics while finishing with a clean arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 84 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows a strong lower-½ with some strength in his swing and 77 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.75-60. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that lands closed. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 77-80 mph with down angle and arm-side run. Needs to get on top of his breaking more which will give him a sharper 11/5 break at 69-71 mph. Showcased a solid changeup near fastball speed at 71-72 mph.

Jacob Hendrickson, OF/1B, Strongsville, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame. From the outfield he shows good footwork approaching ground balls transitioning into a crow hop. He throws using a shorter arm action coming through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 76 mph on his throws from the outfield. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows good rotation on his lower-½ with his barrel getting in and out of the zone. Ball tends to jump off his bat with 74 mph exit velocity and ran 7.56-60.

Jacob Lozinski, OF/1B, St. Edward, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound body frame. From the outfield he shows good, athletic foot work and actions when fielding ground balls transitioning into a crow hop. He has a clean arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 81 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that start slightly open and his hands high. A little bat wrap with a flat path and produce line drives during batting practice. Registered top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran 7.18-60.

Jake Carney, C/1B, Brecksville Broadview Heights, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 195-pound tall projectable frame. From behind the plate he sits on his heel with an alright exchange. From over the top his pop times were 2.28-2.38 with 68 mph velocity to second. Right-handed hitter that sits down in his legs with good balance. Short stride with a slightly long swing that showed the capability to use the opposite field. Registered top exit velocity of 78 mph off a tee and ran 7.69-60.

Jake McCurry, OF, Solon, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 170-pound athletic frame. From the outfield he has good footwork approaching ground balls transitioning into a crow hop. He uses a clean arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 83 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that really projects as a hitter. Stands tall with leg kick to load with a short, compact swing. Shows some strength in his swing and top exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 6.84-60 which makes him a top prospect.

Jared Becker, LHP, St. Edward, 2017
Scouting Report: Smallish, young 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame with lots of room to fill out with. From the mound, his delivery does not require much effort while using a straight up and down leg lift. He uses average arm speed coming from a low-¾ arm slot. His fastball was between 62-65 mph. He threw his curveball with gradual sinking break at 52-53 mph. The changeup was thrown using fastball arm speed at 59 mph.

Jason Sassano, SS/2B, Fairview, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 140-pound average build. Defensively, from the infield he uses good footwork to approach ground balls. He has a tendency to allow the baseball to get too deep and can benefit by working with his hands out in front of him to field the baseball. He uses a short arm action coming through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 76 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that doesn’t use a load with a stiff lower-½. Flat swing that produced line drives in batting practice. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran 7.70-60.

John Schroyer, RHP, Hoban, 2017
Scouting Report: Long and lanky 6-foot-4, 183-pound frame. From the mound his delivery requires a little bit of effort. He uses just above average arm speed coming from a ¾ arm slot. His velocity seemed to drop while coming out of the stretch compared to being in the wind up. From the stretch his fastball was at 80 mph, from the wind up his fastball was between 82-84 mph. He threw a pretty good tight breaking curveball with 11/5 tilt at 68-69 mph. He also featured a hard changeup thrown at fastball arm speed between 73-75 mph.

Kasey Anzelc, LHP/OF, Walsh Jesuit, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 155-pound athletic frame. In the outfield, he uses good athletic foot work approaching ground balls. He has a clean arm action coming from a high-¾ slot while reaching a top velocity of 85 mph on his throws. From the mound his delivery requires regular effort using simple, repeatable mechanics with a straight up and down leg lift. There is a present wrist wrap, using average arm speed coming through a ¾ arm slot. His fastball was ranging between 75-77 mph. His curveball showed gradual breaking action with 1/7 tilt at 66-67 mph. Threw his changeup using fastball arm speed showing some tailing and sinking movement at 69-71 mph. In the outfield, he uses good athletic footwork approaching ground balls. He has a clean arm action coming from a high-¾ slot while reaching a top velocity of 85 mph on his throws. Left-handed hitter that has a closed stance. Dives in with an uphill swing and 77 mph exit velocity and ran 7.46-60.

Kyler Damm, SS/2B, Strongsville, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 150-pound body frame. Defensively, from the infield he does a good job working with his hands out front to field the baseball cleanly. Shows good footwork fielding through the baseball. Throws using a clean, short arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 76 mph on his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter that keeps his hands away from his body which cause his swing to get long. Leg kick to load with flat path and 83 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.01-60.

Luke Brown, C/OF, Chippewa, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 165-pound solid build. From behind the plate he receives from a high crouch. Needs to improve on his accuracy throwing from a long, high-¾ slot. Pop times ranged from 2.2-2.45 and 71 mph velocity to second base.In the outfield he could improve his foot work on ground balls by incorporating a crow hop. He does a good job getting rid of the ball quickly once he has received it. He uses a short arm action coming through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 79 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance. Uses a toe tap to load and has his hands away from his body which produces a little long swing. Registered top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran 7.70-60.

Luke Clinton, RHP/C, Wadsworth, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 190-pound body frame. From third base he showed pretty good footwork playing through the baseball most of the time and moved well laterally. Used a clean, short arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 74 mph on his throws across the infield. From behind the plate he shows a quick exchange and will improve pop times with better footwork. From high-¾ slot he showed 72 mph velocity to second with pop times of 2.19-2.35. Right-handed hitter that stands tall. Short stride with quick hands that shows some power to his pull side. Registered showcase best 92 mph exit velocity and ran 7.58-60. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that speeds up at the end and is on line at foot strike. From a quick, low-¾ slot his fastball sits 75-79 mph. Showed a very good breaking ball at 62-64 mph with good 11/5 tilt. His changed was 67-69 mph with good arm speed and fade to it.

Mark Geraci, SS/2B, St. Ignatius, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 165-pound body frame. From the infield he uses good, quick feet playing through the baseball on ground balls. Second base looks to suit him the best at this point. He uses a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 78 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter with good balance. Uses a good load and quick hands with a stiff lower- ½. Registered top exit velocity of 81 mph off a tee and ran 7.57-60.

Mark Harris, OF/C, Amherst Steele, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 175-pound athletic frame. In the outfield he shows good footwork approaching ground balls but can improve velocity on his throws by incorporating a proper crow hop. He uses a shorter arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 82 mph on his throws from the outfield. Right-handed hitter that shows strength in his swing. A little too rotational with real power to the pulls aside from a slightly uphill path. Registered top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran 7.51-60.

Max Underwood, OF/3B, Avon Lake, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 175-pound average build. From the outfield position he shows good footwork approaching ground balls, displaying a little bit of unsureness in his hands on this occasion. Could improve velocity on his throws by incorporating proper crow hop mechanics. He uses a short arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 64 mph on his throws. In the infield he displays good footwork while fielding the baseball out front with his hands nicely. He uses a clean arm action coming through an upper ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 61 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that is balanced in the batters box and doesn’t stride. Has a short compact swing with 72 mph exit velocity off a tee and ran a 8.78-60.

Michael Martin, 1B/LHP, Chippewa, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 167-pound average body frame. On the mound his delivery requires regular effort while using a straight up and down leg lift with simple, repeatable mechanics. He uses average arm speed and has a short arm action coming through a ¾ arm slot. His fastball shows natural tailing movement at times ranging between 71-74 mph. His curveball had loopy, gradual breaking action at 56-58 mph. Has a tendency to slow his arm speed down just a little bit at times on his changeup that he throws at 58-62 mph.

Michael Nedwick, LHP/OF, Elyria Catholic, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 182-pound average body frame. On the mound his delivery requires regular effort while using a straight up and down leg lift. He uses average arm speed coming from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball was thrown between 63-65 mph. His curveball showed gradual sinking break at 11/5 tilt between 52-54 mph. He throws his changeup using fastball arm speed at 55-58 mph. Defensively, in the outfield he displays good footwork approaching ground balls transitioning to his crow hop. He throws using a shorter arm action through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 69 mph from the outfield. Left-handed hitter with a spread out stance and balanced. Doesn’t stride and pulls off a little with 71 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.62-60.

Nicholas O’Verko, RHP/2B, Stow, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 165-pound average build. In the infield he does a good job of fielding out front with his hands. He stops his feet when ground balls are hit at him and he can improve his footwork by being more aggressive and playing through the baseball. He throws through a ¾ arm slot reaching a top velocity of 74 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Flat bat path that produce solid contact. Registered top exit velocity of 77 mph and ran 7.86-60. On the mound he shows a slow compact delivery. Lands slightly closed with good deception. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 77-79 mph. Shows two different kinds of breaking balls. His curveball sits 64-65 mph with good 11/5 tilt. Throws a cut fastball which is harder with tighter spin at 68-69 mph. Showcased an above average changeup at 68-71 mph with good arm speed and sink.

Noah Trizzino, C/1B, Strongsville, 2017

Shows good accuracy with his throws with pop times of 2.32-2.41 and 71 mph velocity to second base. Right-handed hitter that starts open and solid balance in the box. Shorts stride with a slightly uphill swing and 82 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.86-60.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame. In the infield he showed pretty good footwork playing through the baseball for the most part. He uses a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 72 mph. Probably plays the best as a second-baseman at this point. Right-handed hitter with good balance. No stride with good rotation on his lower-½. Flat path with top exit velocity of 77 mph off a tee and ran 7.33-60.

Parker Shannon, RHP, Strongsville, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 180-pound projectable frame. On the mound the right-hander has solid tempo with a big leg kick and lands slightly closes. From over top his fastball sits 81-83 mph with good down angle and occasional cut to it. Shows some inconsistency in his 12/6 breaking ball at 64-66 mph. Tends to slow his arm down on his changeup at 68-69 mph with some fade to it. Definite guy to follow because of projection.

Peyton Deats, LHP/1B, Tiffin Calvert, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 158-pound thin projectable frame. From the mound the lefty’s delivery requires regular effort. He has a good clean arm action, using average arm speed through a ¾ slot. He has a good follow through and finishes his pitches well. His fastball showed natural tailing movement at times between 79-82 mph. His curveball was thrown with 1/7 tilt and gradual break, with some signs of being sharp at times between 67-68 mph. He also shows a good feel for his changeup thrown at fastball arm speed with similar movement as his fastball between 69-72 mph.

Ricky Brewer Jr, RHP/OF, Keystone, 2017
Scouting Report: Thin 6-foot-2, 160-pound frame with room to fill out. On the mound he threw exclusively from the stretch. His delivery requires very little effort, he uses average arm speed throwing from a low-¾ to side-arm slot. He finishes landing in a good balanced fielding position. His fastball showed some sink at 66-69 mph. Did not show any off-speed pitches at this work out.

Scouting Report: 6-foot, 170-pound athletic frame. From the outfield position he uses good footwork while approaching ground balls transitioning into good crow hop mechanics. He has a shorter arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 78 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts open and stays open. Starts his hands high and tends to cast them out. Flat path with 83 mph exit velocity off a tee and ran 7.2-60.

In the infield he has a tendency to stop his feet when ground balls are hit at him and he would benefit if he would keep his feet moving through the baseball as he does when he moves laterally for it. Throws using a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 78 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows a good load and stays back over his back leg. Showed some swat in his bat with 85 mph exit velocity and ran 7.31-60. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery and lands slightly closed. From a loose, ¾ slot his fastball sat 76-79 mph with occasional sink. Has good spin on his breaking ball at 65-67 mph with 10/4 tilt. Showcased a knuckleball for his changeup at 61-63 mph with good life.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 145-pound body frame. In the outfield he does a good job getting rid of the baseball quickly once receiving ground balls. He showed a little bit of unsureness to his hands on this occasion and his throws can increase velocity by incorporating a proper crow hop. He uses a clean arm action coming through a high-¾ slot reaching at top velocity of 78 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter with a tendency to cast his hands. Barrel gets in and out of the hitting zone with good rotation on his back side. Registered top exit velocity of 72 mph off a teen and ran 7.76-60.

Scouting Report: Strong 6-foot, 220-pound body frame. From the mound his delivery requires regular effort. He has a short arm action using average arm speed coming through a ¾ arm slot. His fastball shows natural tailing movement at times ranging between 74-78 mph. His curveball breaks gradually with 1/7 tilt at 61-64 mph. He throws his changeup using fastball arm speed at 69 mph. Defensively, in the outfield he looks to be suited as a corner outfield type. He shows good footwork approaching ground balls working into a crow hop. He throws using a clean arm action coming through an upper ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 80 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open. Used a toe tap to load with a strong lower-½  and showed raw power to the pull side with 82 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.47-60.

Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 185-pound average body frame. On the mound his delivery requires regular effort. He throws using average arm speed and a longer arm action coming through an upper ¾ slot. His fastball ranged between 76-79 mph. His slider broke across the zone at 61-63 mph. He had a tendency to slow his arm down just a little bit on his changeup thrown at 70 mph. From third-base he shows pretty good footwork moving pretty well laterally away from the bag. He threw with a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 75 mph on his throws. Right-handed hitter that starts with a closed stance and his hands back. Uphill swing with above average bat speed of 90 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.66-60.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 150-pound body frame. From the outfield he has good footwork approaching ground balls but can improve his footwork transitioning into a crow hop. Very balanced in the box with a short, compact swing and 76 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.28-60.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 135-pound lanky frame. On the mound the southpaw has compact delivery with good tempo that he is able to repeat. Lands slight closed that cause him to cut himself off. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 74-75 mph with arm-side run and occasional cut. Showed two different kinds of breaking balls. His curveball with 1/7 tilt was 65 mph and threw a slider with later break and some depth at 68 mph. Had good arm speed on his changeup at 68-71 mph with fade to it.
