Ohio Insider: Fall Prospect Program - Week 3 at Muskingum University (Teams 1-4)





We would like to thank all who participated in the Central Ohio Fall Prospect Program at Muskingum University. This was an opportunity for the class of 2017-2019 prospects to be put on college radars.

TOP PERFORMERS TEAM 1

  • One of Team 5’s top all around performances from opening weekend at the Fall Program was 3B/SS Chaz Dickerson. At the plate, Chaz totaled 5 RBIs in his plate appearances boosting Team 1’s offensive production in game 1.
  • A few other prospects that were highlighted in game action for Team 1 were Owen Rose (Olentangy Liberty, 2018), Evan Knaus (Boardman, 2018), and Bradley Wolfe (Fairfield Union, 2017).
  • Evan Knaus had a fine day behind the plate showing good feet with the ability to block. His pop time was a 2.29.
  • 1B/2B Owen Rose also had a couple of hits with one being a triple in the double header showing good patience and the ability to put the ball in the gaps.
  • Bradley Wolfe (3B/RHP) made a spectacular diving play at third base, swung the bat well, and was dominant on the mound in this weeks double header. He recorded 2 strikeouts and showed confidence in his secondary stuff. His fastball was up to 83 mph.

TOP PERFORMERS TEAM 3

  • Johnny Condit (Springboro, 2018) was a grinder at the plate this weekend and was his team's top offensive performer. Totaling 4 hits and 3 RBIs, Condit showed good plate discipline and knocked the ball around the field with runners in scoring position.
  • Bailey Armentrout (Kenton Ridge, 2018) was the top arm on the mound this week for team 3. His fastball sat 75-78 mph with arm-side run and he showed a good 10/4 breaking ball at 67-68 mph. Very projectable right-handed arm. Armentrout also recorded two hits on the afternoon.
  • Nate Kaffenbarger (Indian Lake, 2017) swung the bat well tallying 3 RBIs on the day. He also played well defensively, showing good range and a strong arm.
  • Mitchell Perry (Norwalk, 2017) played very well behind the plate. Showed quick hands and was in sync with each of his pitchers. His pop time was 2.15. Offensively, he recorded a hit in the double header and shows good plate coverage all the way through the zone.

TOP PERFORMERS TEAM 2

  • Adam Stotler (Bishop Watterson, 2017) had a nice showing behind the plate. With a pop time of 2.01, Stotler showed a good transfer and quick feet behind the plate. He also tallied a few hits and an RBI in the double header.
  • Jackson Rudoff (Centennial, 2017) had a good day at the plate for team 2 tallying 2 RBIs on 2 hits. He shows a strong aggressive swing with good plate coverage.
  • John Marshall (Dublin Scioto, 2017) had a good day defensively in the outfield showing good range. At the plate, Marshall hit a single and a double with and RBI.
  • Colin Skufca (Wooster, 2017) was the top pitcher of the day for team 2. He recorded 4 strikeouts in the outing with a fastball sitting at 74-77 mph and a breaking ball at 60-63 mph. The side-arm pitcher did a nice job of pounding the zone to record outs.

TOP PERFORMERS TEAM 4

  • Johnny Smith (Lebanon, 2018) was very good behind the plate in the double header showing a great transfer and a strong arm. He popped a 2.08 and threw out a runner trying to steal second. He also recorded 3 hits on the day.
  • Josh Brobst (Bishop Watterson, 2018) showed great defensive abilities in the outfield running balls down in the gap and showing off a strong arm. At the plate, Brobst smacked a double and a triple on the afternoon.
  • Brenden Bridenthal (West Holmes, 2018) was the best arm for team 4 in this week's double header. He recorded 4 strikeouts in the outing with a fastball up to 81 mph and a breaking ball at 64 mph. He also knocked in a run at the plate.
