The summer season is winding down, and the amount of Ohio talent that has made its way onto the national scene has been extremely fun to follow.

We have released the 1st edition of the 2018 rankings, with the top 30 prospects. Below we will take a look at the "top of the class", as well as some players to keep an eye on within the 2018 class.

We will look to continue to search the Buckeye state this fall and winter for more of the top 2018 prospects as we get closer to the start of the 2016 high school baseball season. Look for us to expand the 2018 rankings before the HS season gets underway.

Top of the Class

Nicholas Northcut (Mason, RHP/3B, pictured right) takes the first spot in the initial 2018 rankings after a strong summer with the Houston Banditos. The right-handed pitcher was up to 91 mph on the mound over the summer at a PG event and had a good showing at the Top Prospect Games where he recorded an impressive 93 mph exit velocity.
