Ask questions to JD Heilmann, Ohio Scouting Director, about the recruiting process, upcoming high school season, specific prospects, PBR events, or anything else that may be on your mind.

We would like to thank all who participated, we enjoy bringing you knowledge and expertise on players and programs in your area.

Six of the top questions from the Ask.FM Q&A session on January 4th

Anything good for LaSalle this year? Predictions?

I would definitely watch out for LaSalle this year especially with Miami (OH) commit Nick Ernst on the mound. Should have a solid nucleus with guys like Anthony Bell, Joey Wenning, Andrew Sexton, and Nigel Williams.

2016 players under the radar you have been impressed with recently?

A lot of good players still out there in the 2016 class. Some guys maybe under the radar are Antonio Bennett, Jake Allen, and Landon Stephens to name a few.

How's Jonathan Alder look this year?

Year in and year out Jonathan Alder is in the mix at the end of the year, so I expect them to be there again. They always find ways to win.

What do you think of Conor Regan 2015 C/1B Walsh Jesuit?

Solid player with great work ethic and great make up. Should have a good college career at Buffalo.

Best D1 Baseball team in the state? Top 3?

On paper the best team preseason for Div 1 in my opinion is Moeller. Top 3 would be Moeller, Walsh Jesuit, and Westerville Central. Remember just on paper.

More impressive/important out of a middle infielder/CF, 88+ exit velo or a 6.80 60? would you rather take a 6.80 with 82 exit velo, or 6.95-7.00 with 90 exit velo?

In my opinion I am taking the player with more speed. Speed shows up every day.
