Ohio Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #5 Andrew Abrahamowicz

Andrew Abrahamowicz#5 Andrew Abrahamowicz, RHP/SS, Elyria Catholic, 2017 (Nebraska commit)
Scouting Report from 2014: 6-foot-3, 180-pound solid, projectable build. On the mound the righty has a clean, repeatable delivery with good direction at foot strike. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 83-86 mph with command of the strike zone. He also showcases a hard, late breaking slider at 76-78 mph. At the plate the right-handed hitter starts open and gets to even with a short compact swing, with exit velocity of 92 mph. Andrew also ran an impressive 6.94 60-yard dash.

Background: Andrew's first appearance at a PBR event was in 2014 at the Future Games where the two-way prospect showed well. Fast-forward a year to March of 2015 where Abrahamowicz committed to Nebraska. The future Cornhusker is currently ranked 5th in the 2015 class in Ohio and 164th overall. The junior looks to have a strong spring campaign at Elyria Catholic in 2016.
