Ohio Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #7 Nick Bennett

Nick Bennett#7 Nick Bennett, LHP, Moeller, 2016 (Louisville)
Background: The first time PBR Ohio had the pleasure of seeing Bennett, was the fall of 2012. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound prospect with a tall, lanky projectable body showed us early on why he is a special talent. Bennett used his loose arm through upper-3/4 slot. The fastball showed late life, ranging 82-84 mph. The southpaw also showcased a slurvy tilt breaking ball with some feel at 66-67 mph, as well as an arm-side run on a changeup at 68-70 mph.

Fast-forward to 2015 and Bennet is now the number one ranked prospect in Ohio's stacked 2016 class and 77th overall for PBR's combined rankings. Bennett also led high Moeller Crusaders to another state championship, while being named to the Top 22 All-Tournament Team as well as a member of the 2015 All-State Elite 25 and Division I All-State Team.

As we head into 2016, Bennett is looking to up his draft prospects with an impressive spring campaign for the Archbishop Moeller Crusaders as well as help the top program in the state to another state title.
