Q and A with 2015 Dayton Commit: Tyler Henry (Middletown Madison HS)

PBR: Why did you choose Dayton?

Henry: I chose Dayton because I really like the coaches the facilities, the campus and the school itself. The future is looking good at Dayton, many ball games are going to be won there. 

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Henry: Only other school I was considering was Palm Beach Atlantic University (West Palm, FL)

PBR: Where did the Dayton coaches first see you?

Henry: The Dayton coaches first saw me at the Top Prospect games, then came and watch me pitch a couple times throughout the summer. 

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Henry: In the summer I play for the Dayton Classics. My most memorable moment was probably this past summer we played the GRB Rays and we came into the game as a big underdog and I was on the bump, we ended up run-ruling them. 

PBR: You have competed in numerous PBR events.  How has PBR helped you in the recruiting process?

Henry: Has gave me the chance for numerous schools to get to see me play. 

PBR:  What team do you play for in the summer?

Henry: I play for the Dayton Classics. 

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 program?

Henry: Always has been a dream of mine and now that it's going to be a reality it feels great. 

PBR: What were your stats this spring season?

Henry: Pitched 46 innings, 58 k's and era of 2.10.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Henry: I've faced many tough hitters. Although I faced him as a sophomore one that sticks out to me is Ty Black who now plays at Ohio University.
