We would like to thank all who participated in PBR's The Border Preview Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2015, '16, '17, and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

TOP PITCHER: Charlie Gordon, RHP, Defiance, 2017
TOP POSITION PLAYER: Tanner Freeman, 3B/SS, Celina, 2017

Alec Thacker, SS/2B, Perrysburg, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 170-pound athletic build. From the infield he tends to stay back on his heels and fields the ball into his body. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with 72 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Starts his hands high and his bat path gets in and out of the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity off the tee at 79 mph and ran a 7.57-60.

Andrew McFadden, OF/2B, Manchester, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic build. From the outfield he uses a good run through and a solid crow hop to gain momentum on his throw. From over top he showed 73 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Hands start high with a good load. Tends to wrap the bat a little and showed a flat path that produced line drives. Registered top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran 7.51-60.

Brett Manis, LHP, Port Huron Northern, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 170-pound athletic build. On the mound the southpaw has a clean delivery with good direction. Shows a quick arm from a short, ¾ slot with fastball sitting 77-80 mph with some sink to it. Showed good tight spin on his curveball at 63-65 mph with 1/7 tilt. Added a slider that is slightly harder at 67-68 mph. Tends to slow his arm down on his changeup at 67-71 mph with occasional sink to it.

Chad Adkerson, C/OF, Buchanan, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic build. From behind the plate he needs to quicken up his footwork and use better direction on his throw. From a high-¾ slot he showed pop times of 2.12-2.3 and 73 mph arm strength. From the outfield he fields the ball clean, but needs to use more of a crow hop to gain momentum on his throw. Showed 76 mph arm strength from a high-¾ slot in the outfield. Left-handed hitter that has a spread out stance for balance. Starts his hands high and uses a short, compact swing with some power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 84 mph off a tee and ran 7.0-60

Charlie Gordon, RHP, Defiance, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic build. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery that lands slightly closes at foot strike. Throws from a loose, high-¾ slot with the ball coming out with ease. His fastball sitting 80-82 mph topping out at 85 mph with occasional sink. Showcased a 12/6 breaking ball with good late life at 63-66 mph. His changeup has some cut to it with good arm speed at 70 mph.

Colton Benson, C/OF, Stryker, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic build. From the crouch he has a good frame and showed good footwork. Throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times ranging 2.11-2.26 and 72 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed and use a toe tap for his load. Heavy pull hitter with the barrel getting in and out of the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 77 mph off the tee and ran 7.84-60.

Dalton Riddle, RHP/OF, Buchanan, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 170-pound projectable frame. From the outfield he fields the ball in front of his body and show good arm strength. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 81 mph arm velocity. Right-handed hitter with a simple, compact swing. Flat bat path and occasional power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 84 mph and ran 7.00-60. On the mound he has a fast tempo delivery. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 81-83 mph with good arm side run and gets on you. Showed a late breaking curveball at with 10/4 tilt at 68-71 mph. His changeup had good arm speed at 72-74 mph with sink

Edward Gietzen, OF/RHP, L’Anse Cruese, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 145-pound average build. From the outfield he utilizes a good crop hop to gain momentum. Throws from an easy, low-¾ slot with 75 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. High hands with front toe closed off. Flat bat path with 75 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.55-60. On the mound the righty has a repeatable delivery that wraps in the back side of his arm swing. Throws from a short, low-¾ slot with fastball sitting 73-74 mph with some run to it. Showed a solid breaking ball at 64 mph with gradual 11/5 break. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed and near his fastball at 62-65 mph.

Gabe Phillips, 2B/OF, Delaware Hayes, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 165-pound projectable frame. In the infield he projects as a second base type. He fields the ball into his body. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with 65 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and slightly closed. Flat swing with 77 mph exit velocity and ran 7.37-60.

Joey Oehlers, LHP/OF, Temperance Bedford, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 175-pound athletic build. From the outfield he tends to stop his feet and field the ball instead of coming through it. Opens up on his throw from a ¾ slot and 80 mph velocity from the outfield. Left-handed hitter with quick hands and a dead pull hitter with occasional power. Registered top exit velocity of 84 mph and ran 7.26-60. On the mound the southpaw uses a high leg kick and breaks his hands early. From a long, low-¾ slot his fastball sat 77-81 mph with some run to it. Breaking ball has tight spin and late 2/8 tilt at 66-71 mph. Showcased a changeup at 72-76 mph with some sink and occasional sink.

Josh Przybylo, 1B/3B, Woodhaven, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 240-pound big body build. From first base he is a good target and moves shows range moving off the base. Throws from a long, high-¾ slot with 69 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a little toe tap, quick hands, and occasional power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 87 mph and ran 8.04-60.

Joshua Riggs, 3B/2B, Bowling Green, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 150-pound average build. From the infield he showed limited range with a good exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter uses a long stride and closes himself off. Flat bat path that stays through the zone with 72 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.96-60.

Kellan Huang, RHP/C, Saline, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 170-pound athletic build. On the mound he shows good direction with his delivery. Throws from a long, clean, ¾ slot with fastball sitting 73-77 mph with occasional cut to it. He showed a breaking ball with 11/5 gradual break at 61-68 mph. His changeup was near his fastball at 70-71 mph with fade and sink to it.

Nate Gittinger, C/SS, Clyde Senior, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 185-pound solid build. From behind the plate he has a wide frame. Show adequate footwork with clean exchange. From a high-¾ slot his pop times were 2.25-2.37 with 68 mph velocity to second base. In the infield he projects as a 3B type. Shows decent range and field the ball out in front. Clean exchange with 66 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a strong lower ½. No stride and balanced in the batters box. Good rotation and top exit velocity of 76 mph off a tee. Ran 7.58-60.

Peyton Williamson, RHP, Perrysburg, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 190-pound average build. On the mound the right-hander has a slow tempo delivery with a big leg kick and swings his leg open at foot strike. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 75-77 mph with occasional run. Throws a 12/6 breaking ball at 59-60 mph and slows down on his changeup at 65 mph with arm side run

Sam Weatherly, LHP/OF, Howell HS, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 165-pound projectable two-way prospect. From the outfield he is aggressive coming to get the baseball and uses a good run through with 84 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows quick hands, and power to his pull side with 81 mph exit velocity. On the mound he goes primarily from the stretch. Slow tempo and speeds up at foot strike and tends to close himself off. Arm really works from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 81-83 mph with occasional cut to it. Throws a late breaking curveball at 64 mph with 1/7 tilt. Showcased a solid changeup at 66-69 mph with sink.

Santiago Ramirez, LHP/OF, Defiance, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 175-pound athletic build. From the outfield he fields the ball in front of his body and needs to use come through the baseball. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and quick hands. Leg kick to load and bat gets in and out of the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran 7.79-60. On the mound the southpaw uses a drop and drive in his delivery. Throw from a ¾ slot with fastball sitting 74-77 mph. Showcased a breaking ball at 65 mph and a changeup at 63-66 mph with some occasional sink and cut to it.

Tanner Freeman, 3B/SS, Celina, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 175-pound solid build. From the infield he projects as a third base type. Tends to stay back on the ball. Winds up on his throw with good arm strength across the diamond at 82 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Stands tall with quick hands and shows some power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 88 mph and ran 7.26-60.

Tyler Zmich, RHP, Saline, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 160-pound projectable frame. On the mound he has slow tempo delivery with minimal effort and lands on line at foot strike. Throws from a long, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 75-76 mph. He slows his arm down a little on his breaking ball at 64-68 mph with gradual 11/5 break and showed the ability to throw if for a strike consistently. Showcased a solid changeup at 71-72 mph with occasional sink.

Vince Suso, C/OF, Chippewa, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 155-pound average build. From the crouch he shows quick footwork to get his feet lined up. Clean exchange and throws from a quick, high-¾ slot with pop times of 2.18-2.29 and 69 mph arm strength down to second. In the outfield moves around with a lot of energy. Needs to work through the baseball better. From over top he showed 74 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter starts a little spread out with front foot closed off. Drops hands and uses a short, compact swing with 83 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.41-60.

Wyatt Young, C/SS, Liberty Benton, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 170-pound projectable frame. From behind the plate he needs to clean up his direction on his transfer. Showed a quick release and pop times of 2.07-2.18 with 71 mph velocity to second base. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open and spread out. He is balanced with no stride and a slightly long swing. Registered top exit velocity of 72 mph and ran 8.22-60.
