We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio’s Western Ohio Winter Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2015, '16, '17 and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Chandler Kersh, LHP/OF, Ottawa-Glandorf, 2015
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 160-pound projectable frame. On the mound the southpaw uses a simple delivery with good tempo and able to repeat it. Throws from a loose ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 77-79 mph with good arm-side run. Breaking ball has a slow 1/7 break at 60-62 mph and showed a changeup at 71-72 mph with good arm speed. From the outfield he fields the ball in front of him and open up on his throw. Throws from a loose ¾ slot with 81 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even with hands starting high. Uses a leg kick to load with quick hands and a top exit velocity of 86 mph and ran a 4.59 home to first.

Davis Adkins, RHP/3B, Norwalk, 2015
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 190-pound solid build. From the infield he projects as a third baseman. He shows average range and throws from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed. His swing gets in and out of the zone and shows power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 4.78 home to first. On the mound he uses a slow tempo delivery with his fastball sitting 77-78 mph with some arm-side run from a high-¾ slot. Showcases two breaking balls. He drops his slot on his curveball at 66-67 mph with 11/5 break. His slider has some late break at 71-72 mph. Uses a knuckle ball for his changeup at 63-67 mph with good movement and sink.

Jacob Marvin, RHP/1B, Fairlawn Local, 2015
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 200-pound solid build. On the mound the righty uses his lower half in his delivery. Throws from a low-¾ slot with fastball sitting 74-77 mph with some arm-side run. Shows an average breaking ball with 10/4 break and some depth. Also showcased a changeup at 67-68 mph with some sink.

Kyler Seemann, RHP, Patrick Henry, 2015
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 174-pound average build. On the mound the righty shows a lot of pitchability. He throws from over top with some down angle on his fastball sitting 78-81 mph. Showcases two different breaking balls. His 12/6 curveball has good depth at 66 mph. His slider is more of a swing and miss with late break at 70 mph. Also showcased a changeup at 71-72 mph with good arm speed and fade to it.

Nathan Meeker, OF/RHP, Olentangy Liberty, 2015
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic build. From the outfield he fields the ball in front of his body. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 75 mph arm strength and open up on his throw. Right-handed hitter that uses a little leg kick to load. Has quick hands and uses a short, compact swing with the barrel getting in and out of the zone. Registered a top exit velocity of 79 mph and ran 4.58 home to first. On the mound the righty shows a lot of pitchability. Has a compact delivery throwing from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 74-76 mph with some down angle and arm-side run. Showcases two breaking balls. His curveball has good late 11/5 tilt at 64-65 mph and his slider has a later break at 68-70 mph. Also, showed a changeup with good arm speed at 70 mph.

Seth Strong, C/1B, Wayne, 2015
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 230-pound strong build. Behind the plate he has a quick exchange and solid footwork. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with showcase best pop times ranging from 2.00-2.11 and 78 mph arm strength. From first base he is a big target and shows really good arm strength from a high-¾ slot. Left-handed hitter that stands tall with a short compact swing and power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 85 mph and ran 5.19 home to first.

Tyler Baird, RHP, South Range, 2015
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 185-pound long, projectable frame. On the mound the righty has a loose action that needs to use his lower-½ more. Throws from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 76-79 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5  break with average depth at 67-68 mph and showcased a changeup at 68-69 mph with average arm speed and kept it down in the zone.
