Future Games Brain Dump: Day 3 Highlights

WESTFIELD, IN –Day 3 of the Future Games saw several more players raise their profiles into national prominence, while countless others emerged as legitimate high-level prospects.

Here are a handful of standouts from Friday’s game action at Grand Park, competing in front of more than 250 college coaches and pro scouts:

+ RHP/OF Gage Bradley (Rossview HS, TN) elevated his status as a premier pitching prospect in the 2020 class after his two-inning stint for Team Tennessee. At 6-foot-2, 165 pounds, Bradley is a long-limbed, live-bodied, high-level athlete, one who is young in the face with immense upside. All that makes it easy to dream that his current stuff – which is advanced for his age – will only continue to tick up in the coming years.

Bradley, who’s currently the No. 35 ranked prospect in the Prep Baseball Report 2020 class, worked his fastball at 87-88 mph, touching 89 on occasion, with a clean, easy and highly athletic arm action. He comes out of a fluid, low-effort delivery, works down the mound well with a fast, athletic arm and a quick hand out front. Bradley also mixed in a 72-73 mph breaking ball that had short, tight 11/5 action. A two-way prospect, he also was clocked at 92 mph from the outfield while showing off a loose, easy swing at the plate during Wednesday’s positional workout.
