Ontario Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #10 Michael Brettell

Michael Brettell#10 Michael Brettell, RHP, 2015
Background: Brettell established himself early on in 2014 as one of the top pitchers not only in Ontario, but the country as well.

Successful stints with the Junior National Team versus professional and college hitters allowed Brettell to showcase his talents, which was led by his high-80s fastball that he showed command of, along with sinking and tailing action. His slider seemed to get better every outing and became a go to pitch for him to finish off hitters when he needed a punch-out. The delivery was repeatable and the arm was quick with an easy arm action, leaving us to believe there is more to come for Brettell.

Brettell signed with Central Michigan University in the early signing period and by going undrafted, you will find him in Mt. Pleasant Michigan, on the Chippewas campus today. We figure that Brettell will have an opportunity to play a role in the pitching staff as a freshman, and by the time his junior year rolls around, his abilities will make him a go to starter on the staff and will be on the draft boards of MLB clubs. The former Great Lake Canadians graduates profile was number 10 for views this year in 2015, and for good reason.
