2015 PBR Future Games Update: Team Pennsylvania

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

The 5th annual PBR Future Games powered by Under Armour will take place July 30 - August 1 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field complex located in Westfield, IN just north of Indianapolis.

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2017 prospects and select 2018 prospects in the more than 20 state PBR coverage area. Last year, more than 110 colleges from all over the country were in attendance.

Every player in the PBR Future Games will be outfitted in an Under Armour uniform, cleats and hat. Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms.

Each state team will play three games. On Thursday prior to game play, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position.  Players will receive their uniforms prior to their workout.

2015 marks the 4th year that a team from Pennsylvania will participate. To view past teams representing the commonwealth and where those players have gone on to play college baseball CLICK HERE.

LHP/1B Brendan McKay (Louisville) was a member of the inaugural Team Pennsylvania roster in 2012 and is now starring as a collegiate player. The freshman is currently 5-1 with a 1.91 ERA including 63 strikeouts in 47 innings of work. The two-way prospect is also hitting .306 with 17 RBI and 20 runs scored when not on the mound. McKay is just one of four freshman in the country named to the Golden Spikes Award watch list, an award given to the top amateur baseball player in the country annually.

Initial invitations to participate as a member of the 2015 Team Pennsylvania roster have been sent out and we will continue to update the finalized roster as commitments to participate are received. To learn more about the premier event of the summer and to request an invitation CLICK HERE.

Dillon Marsh Added to roster

2018 LHP/1B Dillon Marsh (Lancaster Catholic) is the first addition to this year's roster. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound two-way prospect sits in the mid-80s off the mound and has shown advanced athleticism as a left-handed hitter and defender. Through the first seven games of his varsity career, Marsh is 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA. He has recorded 13 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched and has held opposing hitters to a .143 batting average. Marsh is also hitting .375 with three doubles and eight RBI.
