District 9 Pitcher of the Year: RHP Cole Peterson

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

Cole PetersonCole Peterson and his Johnsonburg HS teammates are growing accustomed to playing important games in State College, PA. In early March, Peterson and five other members of the baseball team played in the Class A state final in basketball and came up short. Peterson nearly single handedly made sure that was not the case in baseball.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound RHP/SS is the District 9 Pitcher of the Year. He completed a terrific junior season as a two-sport star by going 10-0 on the mound. Peterson tossed a complete game, six hit shutout in the state championship game to lead Johnsonburg to the state title. Ranked No. 125 in the PA Class of 2014, Peterson is also a talented middle infielder and leadoff hitter when not on the mound.
