Fall College Prospect Program: Results from DeSales University

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

Zach GuthWeek 5 of the Fall College Prospect Program got started with a similar story as the last three, LHP Zach Guth was in complete control. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound lefty sat 83-85 and showcased his complimentary pitches on the way to nine strikeouts in three innings of work. The dominating performance increased Guth's gaudy fall program totals to 15 innings of work with 35 strikeouts over the course of the first five weekends. His continued dominance has caught the attention of a number of Division I programs, several of which have already seen him throw and others planning to see him at the final stop in the program at Alderson Broaddus University (September 29).

The day did not go without some offensive highlights. RHP/OF Mike Anthony (Phoenixville HS, Class of 2015), who will take the mound tomorrow at Lehigh University, went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double. Mike Anthony2B/SS Ted Williams, a Millersville University commit, also had a solid day at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double and a triple.
