By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

The Fall College Prospect Program will get under way on September 7 giving college prospects an opportunity to showcase their abilities in game action on three college campuses during the course of the month. The fall program is in its second year of existence following on the heels of a very successful 2013 tour that saw 50 players announce college commitments.

2015  OF Ryan Grieco (Franklin Regional)

Ryan GriecoGrieco is a 5-foot-7, 150-pound uncommitted senior that has shown well at a pair of PBR events this summer. The left-handed hitter showcased very good tempo to his swing from a slightly open stance with a 78 mph bat exit velocity at the Western PA Open ID Showcase in July. Grieco ran a 7.09 60-yard dash and displayed an accurate 80 mph arm from his outfield position.

Greico gets out of the box well (4.09 to 1B) and handles the bat well as evidenced by a well-executed bunt in game action at the WV Top Prospect Games. Grieco went 2-for-6 in game play over two days, narrowly missing two additional hits while getting down the line hard on balls in the infield.
