Prep Baseball Report

Updated Team Rankings

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

The high school baseball season is now three weeks old and top teams have begun to separate themselves from the field. Ten new teams make an appearance in the Top 25 this week with a combined overall record of 48-4. Making the biggest jump are the Hempfield Black Knights who have gone from being unranked to the No. 1 team in the state. The Bethel Park Blackhawks make the biggest jump among those teams that were in the Preseason Rankings. The Blackhawks (7-0) move from preseason No. 12 to the No. 2 spot in the rankings.

Hempfield will be tested immediately as they put their No. 1 ranking on the line against Manheim Township this evening. Manheim Township is listed among the "Others to Watch" this week.
