Outfielders Analysis: Week 4 of Fall College Prospect Program

OF Tracy Brozich, Western Beaver HS, Class of 2014

Brozich is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect that made an athletic diving catch in game action at Slippery Rock University. He showcased athletic actions and precise routes to the baseball with good carry on throws of 79 mph. Brozich hits from an open stance and utilizes a lift and replace stride foot to create a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. He went 1-for-2 at the plate in game action.

OF Patrick Clement, York Catholic HS, Class of 2014

Clement showcased solid tools with an 80 mph throwing arm and a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound left-handed hitter showcased a short stroke at the plate and a line drive approach to hitting. Clement went 1-for-2 at the plate in game action at Slippery Rock University.

OF Jonathan Fouts, Thomas Jefferson HS, Class of 2014

Fouts showed athletic actions in the outfield and straight line carry on throws of 82 mph from the outfield. The 5-foot-8, 160-pound prospect hits from a square stance with a high hands load. Fouts utilized a toe tap stride and showcased the ability to barrel the baseball consistently during batting practice. He went 1-for-3 in game action at Slippery Rock University and displayed a bat exit velocity of 80 mph.

OF Tim Granato, Shady Side Academy, Class of 2015

Granato has a sturdy 6-foot, 175-pound frame and showcased a 76 mph throwing arm from the outfield. The right-handed hitter hits from an open stance with a lift and replace stride foot. He barreled the baseball routinely in a solid round of batting practice.

LHP/OF Nick Reamer, Butler HS, Class of 2014

Reamer is an athletic two-way prospect that has shown an 82 mph arm from the outfield and a 7.12 60-yard dash. The left-handed hitter hits from a square stance and uses a solid lower half to create barrel whip and a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Reamer barreled the baseball routinely and showed some gap power during batting practice.

Jesse StaudtOF Jesse Staudt, Cochranton HS, Class of 2014

Staudt is a 6-foot, 185-pound uncommitted senior that showcased good routes to the baseball and an accurate throwing arm. He made an athletic sliding catch in game play and went 2-for-3 at the plate at Slippery Rock University. Staudt showed the ability to barrel the baseball routinely in batting practice, with good lower half action and quick hands. He hits from an open stance with a flat bat path through the hitting zone resulting in his ability to utilize all fields.

OF Eric Wooten, Cabell Midland HS (WV), Class of 2014

Wooten is a 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect that showcased athletic actions and an accurate arm from his outfield position. The right-handed hitter utilized a square stance with no stride and a line drive approach to barrel the baseball routinely during batting practice. Wooten grounded out in all four plate appearances at Thiel College.
