The PIAA state tournament begins Monday with 16 teams in each of four classifications attempting to make an appearance in the state finals on June 13 at Medlar Park in State College.

We posed a number of questions prior to the start of district tournament play and several have already been answered. We now know that there will be a new champion in Class AAA as two-time defending champion West York was knocked out of district tournament action in the 1st round.
