John AielloMany of the top players in the country have traveled this week to Jupiter, FL and according to PBR National Supervisor, Nathan Rode, SS John Aiello (Germantown Academy HS) is among the top 2015 prospects in attendance. Rode noted that, "The switch-hitting 6-foot-2, 195-pound Wake Forest recruit has advanced timing and rhythm at the plate. He creates tremendous bat speed and barrel whip through the zone while maintaining balance. Against the Reds, Aiello ripped a double down the left field line from the right side. He also showed off his arm strength from shortstop. Ranked No. 2 in Pennsylvania’s 2015 class and No. 7 overall, Aiello has tremendous upside."

Aiello had an impressive performance two weeks ago at the WWBA Underclass tournament in Fort Myers and is making a push for sliding to No. 1 in the rankings when they are next released on November 11.

+ Prospects from the deep Class of 2015 in Pennsylvania continue to announce their commitments. To date, 14 of the top 22 ranked players have committed to programs in the ACC, SEC and Big Ten. Penn State recently received commitments from LHP Dylan Cyphert (Cranberry HS, No. 9) and C Ryan Sloniger (Punxsutawney HS, No. 20).

+ OF Cameron Simmons (Spring-Ford HS, No. 22) was the most recent to commit. He gave his verbal to Virginia this past week. Simmons is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect that runs a 6.60 60-yard dash and has an 87 mph arm from the outfield.

+ LHP Connor Higgins (Parkland HS, No. 7) and LHP Zach Wielgus (William Penn Charter, No. 10) are both candidates to come off the board very soon. Both were members of Team Pennsylvania at the Midwest Future Games in August.

+ Look for LHP Zach Guth (Franklin Area HS, No. 51) to be making a large jump in the updated rankings in a few weeks. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound lefty had a breakout fall and has trips to Indiana, Virginia and Seton Hall lined up in the coming month.
