Prep Baseball Report

Pennsylvania Week #4 Team Rankings

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

The weather this spring has created an interesting dilemma. Some teams have played their full complement of games while others have played less than half. Some of those teams whose schedule has been adversely affected by the weather have played primarily the toughest portion of their schedule and should see their record improve dramatically with games remaining on the schedule. Others have feasted on weaker teams and will now run into the meat of their schedule moving forward.

Taking in the number of games played and the difficulty of schedule we have come up with this week's updated Top 25 poll. Much like last week's poll, there has been considerable movement. Gone from the No. 1 spot and actually out of the Top 25 entirely is Hempfield High School. Last week's top ranked team suffered two losses on the field and the loss of West Virginia recruit Shaun Corso to injury in the past seven days.

Out of the top 18 teams in the poll, six remain undefeated. With teams heading into the conference portion of their schedules, don't be surprised to see a few upsets over the next several weeks as perennial rivals do battle.

Enough talking about it, here is the Prep Baseball Report Pennsylvania Top 25 for Week #4.
