Cole Bixler is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher from West York Area HS.  Through his freshman and sophomore years on varsity, he's hitting .314 with more combined walks and hit-by-pitches (27) than strikeouts (26).  Bixler impressed in the PIAA District 3 Class AAA semifinal against Twin Valley last season, rapping out two hits, including a double to left-center off a 91mph fastball from New York Mets draft pick Jared Price.  This season he is expected to step into a leadership role for coach Roger Czerwinski, as West York aims to defend its PIAA Class AAA championship.
