Super 16 Rankings (Week 7)

It was a mixed week of action with a some good weather and a lot of rain in between. Following is a brief look teams that have emerged or made moves in the rankings in the past week.

Class AAAA


Changes to the big school classification occur this week at No. 14 - No. 16. Emmaus jumps two spots to No. 14 following a 2-0 week. Moving into the 4A poll at No. 15 and No. 16 respectively are State College Area (10-3) and Plum (13-4).

Class AAa


West York, the two-time defending 3A state champs, remain in the No. 1 spot. New to the 3A poll this week are Laurel Highlands (14-3) at No. 14 and Chartiers Valley (13-3) at No. 16.

Class aA


Hanover (13-1) remains at No. 1 this week with New Hope-Solebury (14-1) hot on their heels at No. 2. Central (15-0) and Neshannock (16-0) remain undefeated and are making their case to move up.

Class a


California Area (15-0) unseats Bishop McCort (10-4) which had held the No. 1 position since the start of the season. Two other undefeated teams, Elk County Catholic (12-0) and Vincentian Academy (13-0), hold down the No. 3 and No. 5 spots in the poll.

PAISAA schools


The top five teams in the independent schools poll continues to change with a balanced league leading to competitive games in the Inter-AC league on a daily basis. Moving back into the poll at No. 5 this week is The Perkiomen School (12-4).
