Joseph MolettiereThe final Open ID Showcase prior to the 2013 Midwest Future Games resulted in two prospects from the Class of 2015 being added to the Team Pennsylvania roster. The event at In the Net in Palmyra, PA showcased a number of talented prospects and impressive performances with Noah Malone and Joe Molettiere earning a trip to Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

RHP Joe Molettiere (Pennridge HS, Class of 2015) impressed during his bullpen session. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect is athletic and loose armed. He sat 84-85 with command of a 4-seam fastball and 2-seam fastball mix. His 2-seam fastball has substantial arm-side run and is thrown as hard as his 4-seam. Molettiere also showcased a power 11/5 curveball with late hard bite at 74-76 mph. His 77-79 mph changeup is a pitch that needs further development, but will only add to Molettiere's arsenal when perfected.

MaloneAs impressive as Molettiere's performance was, Noah Malone (Cedar Cliff HS, Class of 2015) put together the performance of the day. The 6-foot, 160-pound OF/RHP started his day by running an event best 6.83 60-yard dash. He went on to showcase an 87 mph arm from the outfield and took one of the top rounds of batting practice on the day. Malone capped his performance by sitting 84-86 on the mound with command of a 72 mph curveball and a 77 mph changeup. Malone will see action as an outfielder and as a pitcher for Team Pennsylvania.
