The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short stride to initiate his swing from a high hands load. Zappala displayed good balance throughout his swing with above average barrel whip (87 mph) and some present power to the pull side. His hands work well through contact and hits off a stiff front side creating some backspin in the process.
