Unsigned Senior Spotlight: C/3B Alex Salesky

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

Alex SaleskyAlex Salesky is a left-handed hitter that has shown the ability to be a productive hitter at the next level. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound uncommitted senior has good rhythm to his swing and his hands work well through the baseball. He went a combined 5-for-8 at the plate in game action at the PA Top Prospect Games and in the recently completed Fall College Prospect Program. Salesky gap-to-gap, line drive approach should serve him well in college.

The C/3B has demonstrated the potential to play either position moving forward. His 2.00-2.08 pop times are an improvement of nearly two tenths of a second from this point a year ago. Salesky's arm is solid at 75 mph from the crouch and he has shown the ability to handle quality pitchers at multiple invite events. He has also shown the ability to handle the glove at 3B.

Salesky will showcase his abilities at the Unsigned Senior Showcase on October 19 at B2B Baseball in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The event will provide talented uncommitted seniors from Pennsylvania and West Virginia the opportunity to perform for college coaches prior to the early signing period in November.
