The final weekend of upper-classification baseball has a familiar ring to it.
Of the six games on the first day of final-four play in the three Championship Series, five are rematches. A combination of playing again after league play, doing it again after meeting in nonleague or a quick rematch of Series games has kept Classes 5A, 4A and 3A primarily exclusive as many of the program names still competing are ones you’ve heard in rceent seasons.
There will be a different champion in big schools, but Valor Christian (4A) and Faith Christian (3A) are still bidding to go back-to-back.
The only sport still going from the 2016-17 school year should provide a glorious end as it usually does.
