After an eventful summer, we’ve made adjustments to the 2018 Overall Rankings and posted an update Monday. Holding onto the top spot is OF Jarred Kelenic (Waukesha West HS, WI), a Louisville recruit. Kelenic is on the 40-man roster for USA Baseball’s 18U National Team trials roster, bringing a power-speed combination to the table. Right behind him is another left-handed hitting center fielder in OF Mike Siani (William Penn Charter School, PA). Jumping up to the third spot in the overall rankings and No. 1 in the state of Florida is RHP Slade Cecconi (Trinity Prep, FL), a Miami recruit with a projectable, 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame and three-pitch mix.

To take a closer look at the rankings, here are some by-the-numbers facts.

174: Uncommitted players in the Top 400.

Recruiting moves at a breakneck speed these days, so many of the top juniors have verbally committed. However, there is still plenty of talent in the class still available. In the top 100, there are 17 prospects still mulling their options, two of which are in the top 10—OF Alek Thomas (Mount Carmel HS, IL) and C Noah Naylor (St. Joan of Arc SS, ON).
