Florida Freshmen Getting Noticed

With continuing innovation of social media and technology and the growing popularity of showcase-style baseball, players are being noticed by schools and scouts at a younger age from across the country. The importance of having video and measurable tools (60 time, velocity, exit bat speed, etc.) posted online has been one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, for players committing earlier in their high school careers—even some eighth graders are committing to division I schools.
Not only are these players being seen, but the talent level for each class seems to be just as strong, or stronger, than the previous class. This certainly is the case for 2019 class in Florida who already has multiple kids committed. There are a good amount of players who could physically pass as juniors and possess advanced tools while being still having room to grow, mature, and improve.
A few players who have shown well at recent events all have at least one advanced tool for their age and are easily adapting to playing with juniors and seniors. In some cases, these freshman are playing beyond their years and already proving to be some of the best players on the field. Here are a few 2019 players who have stuck out at recent events and will likely be on the radar of schools within the next year:
Casey Daiss, RHP/1B, Windermere Prep, FL
Daiss physically had an easier transition than most 14-year-olds as he stands at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a tall, strong, and projectable frame and starts at linebacker for his varsity football team.
