Marler has an athletic, strong frame at 6-feet, 175-pounds, and is a high level catching prospect with a high ceiling. Excellent mobility in a strong lower half, blocks with athleticism, elite level receiver. Directional footwork, easy transfer, quick release, clean arm stroke with carry through the bag at second base, ball is on a line. Pop times in 2.0-2.1 range at this event (1.88-2.0 at North & South Texas Prospect Game). At the plate, the right-handed hitter has presence and moxie, a fluid hack with a simple path, hard contact, ball jumps off bat with 92 exit velocity and loose finish. Athletic runner posted a 7.1-second 60-yard dash. Performed well at Houston Open and was a clear standout at the North Texas Underclass Games at TCU five days later.

At 6-feet-1, 160-pounds, Ivey has a lean, athletic, fast-twitch frame. The rising junior began the day with a 6.93-second 60-yard dash. In the box, Ivey has an open stance, leg kick with a big hitch to trigger his hands, lands with balance. Fluid hack through zone, good bat lag with his initial move, whips the barrel on plane through the zone with strength and life in his hands. Transfers his weight down into his legs with balance and high barrel finish, ball jumps off his bat. Defensively in the outfield, Ivey has soft hands and a quick exchange into a athletic crow hop. Throws from high-¾ slot with a long, loose, quick arm stroke at 85 mph. Good carry and accuracy in the arm. Also worked out on the infield and showcased soft hands, plays through the ball, average footwork, above average arm strength with carry and accuracy. With his athleticism, projectable fast-twitch frame, Ivey has a high ceiling and is sure to draw the attention of college recruiters sooner rather than later.
