Jimmy Burnette struck out 11 in six innings and Zach Verta homered as the Vikings extended their season-opening winning streak to 10. Johnny Peterson doubled twice and drove in a pair and Bryan Lyle went 2-for-2 with three RBI in the victory.

Hayden Juenger and Matthew Albritton drove in two runs apiece for O’Fallon. Heath Zuber allowed three hits and struck out six in the five-inning victory.

Alek Thomas went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI and the first four hitters in the Caravan lineup had three hits apiece.

K.C. Simonich hit two home runs and Nick Gralla allowed two hits in five innings, striking out six and walking two.
