Montini 5, No. 1 St. Laurence 4
Anthony Rogers
allowed four unearned runs and had two hits and an RBI as Montini built a 5-0 lead engineer route to its second upset of a Top 10 Catholic Blue team in five days. Matt McCormack had a two-run single as St. Laurence rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh before falling short.

No. 2 Mundelein 2, Waukegan 1
Zack Zentz
pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks and the Mustangs pushed across a pair of unearned runs in the top of the seventh to avoid a shocking upset. Ryan Magee singled twice for Mundelein’s only hits off Baldo Garza, who pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs.

No. 4 Mount Carmel 14, Kaneland 4
Alek Thomas
homered, tripled and drove in three and Bobby Seymour went 3-for-4 with two doubles for the Caravan.

T.F. South 5, No. 5 Lemont 4
Omar Garcia Coscio
had two hits and an RBI and Kyle Mandujano struck out eight in three innings to pick up the victory in relief as the Rebels sprung the upset.

No. 15 Lyons 3, Oak Park 0
Grant Leader
struck out 11 in 6â…“ hitless innings and Matt Piento finished off the no-hitter with two more strikeouts for the Lions. Connor Pasko and Scott Garrow had two hits apiece in the victory.
