Justin Rios doubled home Jimmy Burnette with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Joe Vascik allowed an earned run on four hits in the complete-game victory.
No. 4 Mount Carmel 18, St. Ignatius 7
Bobby Seymour and Macauley Kilbane combined for five homers and 10 RBI for the Caravan. Seymour went deep three times and drove in six. Zion Pettigrew also hit a home run for Mount Carmel.
No. 5 Lemont 5, Richards 3
Nate Madej struck out nine in 5 â…“ innings and had two RBI for Lemont. K.C. Simonich had an RBI triple in the victory. Donivan Williams had three hits for Richards.
